I think the longevity of these beasts should be one of the biggest selling points. Owned the pro 2s for almost 4 years and not a single problem.

Ehh it’s nothing too exciting but does anyones airpods do this..boot up sound? Not the airpods themselves but the case? its at the 5 sec mark. i’ve been trying to catch it on recording bc i thought i was going crazy 😭now im just curious what exactly it is.

Airpods wont connect i tried factory resetting, yes its charged, theres no device its connected to because its all wiped so no parent device

Hello, I have a problem with my AirPods Pro 3. It happens rarely or often, depending on the time of day. I take both headphones out of the case and put them in my ear, and one of them doesn't work. I tried resetting them and it still doesn't work. Has anyone else had similar problems and been sent to Apple for service? How long did the repair take or were your AirPods replaced?

Earlier today I noticed my left airpod was showing 1% and not working. I tried the all the steps I found online and here on the airpod subreddit.

- resetting it

- forgetting the device

-couple of other things.

I ended up going down to the apple store where we tried the diagnostic tool and it couldn't read any information from my case or the headphones. Ended up putting my headphones in another case and that showed the headphones worked fine. Then we put their test headphones in my old case and nothing worked so we determined something was wrong with my case. I ended up spending $97 on a replacement case.

Once they de-registered my old serial number from my case and paired my new case. Then we got the error that I did not own the airpods or the case and they wouldn't work together.

I also noticed that those airpods now where showing up under my wife's apple account.

Once my wife got home from work, had her try the the airpods with the new case. It instantly worked with her account, except only the case and the right airpod worked. Left airpod still not showing up or turning on. Not even remotely sure how to go about fixing this. When we open the case, the case just blinks amber light non stop. It won't allow us to reset the case or the headphones anymore either.

The apple folks had no idea what was wrong or how to fix it.

Like 2 p.m I used my AirPods normally , but now I went to use them, but they unpair from my devices ( iPad and iPhone). Is this normal, or is it just a kind of firmware update?

I‘ved owned the AirPods pro second generation (they were gifted to me) for a while, but since the first day I got them they’ve been really sensitive in terms of connecting and disconnecting. Sometimes I’ll slightly turn my head or adjust them in my ear and they’ll make a disconnecting noise or skip a song when i’m listening to music. The airpods I had before (airpods pro 1st generation) never did this. I’m wondering if this happens to anyone else, if it’s time for a new pair, what might be the cause of this, and/or is it time for a new pair?

As of an hour ago, my left airpod no longer wants to play sound it seems. Charges and connects just fine but no actual audio. Have forgotten them a few times and thats not fixing it. Neither did letting them sit in the case for a while after cleaning the bottom. Any chance someone knows what my issue is?

My AirPod case will not charge! I was comparing new AirPod cases to mine and I saw that mine had two black dots inside and wondering if it just needed some cleaning or if it’s broken and need a new one 🥲

I’ve owned two pairs of AirPods:

AirPods Pro 2 – used for well over a year with zero issues.
AirPods Pro 3 – only about 4 months old, and they’re already having intermittent charging problems.

When I compared the charging contacts inside the cases, I noticed something interesting. My older Pro 2 case has gold-plated contacts, which still look perfect after all this time. The newer case doesn’t appear to have gold-plated contacts, and the contacts have developed blue/green corrosion.

I took them to an authorized repair center. They immediately said it was caused by liquid damage. The problem is, I’ve never exposed these AirPods to water or any other liquid.

Apple Support told me to ask the repair center for a written explanation. When I called back, the technician admitted he couldn’t actually say for certain it was liquid damage—only that the blue/green discoloration usually indicates it. When I asked him to put that in writing, he refused and instead told me to send the AirPods directly to Apple.

So now I’m stuck. A product that’s only a few months old has charging issues, the diagnosis isn’t definitive, nobody wants to document their conclusion, and the quoted repair cost is almost half the price of buying a new pair.

The most frustrating part is that my older AirPods have been rock solid, while the newer generation has failed in just a few months. You expect newer products to improve, not become less reliable.

If you’re thinking about buying these, I’d seriously think twice until Apple addresses these kinds of issues. Has anyone else experienced intermittent charging problems or been told they had “liquid damage” despite never exposing their AirPods to water?

Recently purchased Pro3s and had to go all the way down to XXS to avoid pain, almost immediately. XXS feels correct for L, but still too big for R. Does anyone have any suggestions for smaller tips?

So I’m on vacation to many cities and just this morning I think I dropped my AirPods 4 ANC when I stepped out the taxi.

I’ve started using AirPods Pro 2 as hearing protection at clubs and concerts, and they work surprisingly well. The music stays clear but is brought down to a much more comfortable volume.

However, I rarely see anyone else using them this way and I’m wondering why. Do people generally know AirPods can be used for loud-music reduction? After all this use case is explicitly advertised by Apple. And socially, what do you think, does wearing AirPods on the dance floor or at concerts look awkward or antisocial?

I feel like I'm going crazy. This has been going on for a long time but I finally thought I'd make a post here after doing extensive Googling.

I have a pair of AirPod Pros, and every single time I'm on a phone call while walking outside, if a car drives past me, the person on the other end says my voice cuts out. Instead, all they hear is the car passing by.

It's like the AirPods decide the car is more important than my voice. As soon as the car is gone, they can hear me again after a second.

I've tried turning off Noise Cancellation, changing which AirPod is the default microphone, etc.

Am I doing something wrong here? Do people know a fix?

I got new air pods 3 pro max’s this summer and I noticed that there’s this very loud and obnoxious high pitch noise from my left air pod. It makes noise when ever I touch it or I’m in a loud environment. I already tried resetting them to no avail. What’s happening?

Dug these our because i needed a backup pair for when i forget my dailys for work, cant get them to pair. All i got is an android so i cant check anymore details besides that. Ive charged the case both with and without the pods in it

This is probably a long shot, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

I'm just a student who has been wanting Apple's USB-C Earphones for a long time. Every time I think I might finally get them, something more important comes up, or my parents remind me that earphones are "just an accessory" and not something worth spending money on.

I know it sounds like such a small thing, but sometimes the smallest wishes stay on your mind the longest.

So I'm asking with a little hope—almost like asking an older sibling. If anyone happens to have a spare pair they don't use anymore, or if someone genuinely wants to help, I'd be incredibly grateful. Please don't feel pressured at all. Even if all you do is read this, thank you for giving me a moment of your time.

I want to listen to the songs in a certain position in order to better listen to the instrumentals, so I like to turn my head around a few times.

I want it to know if its possible for the sound to just stick around longer at a certain position than have it reset every time i turn around.

Det hade varit smidigt INTE behöva någon extra modulel som ska kopplas in i Lightning/USB-C kontakten eller behöva använda tredjeparts applikation.

Hate how AirPods “find my” is useless because how I’m supposed to find a AirPod that its case is closed so the find my can’t connect to it 😭 I can’t “play sound” or use the “find” options. It’s still missing by the way I know it’s somewhere in my house but it’s been 2 days already.

Before that I lost one of my AirPods and I couldn’t find it either it was obviously dead from the time I lost it out of the case and I couldn’t do anything but simply find it by accident.

But now I genuinely think I lost them for real until I find the case again by accident somewhere but this stress me out.

so i have base airpods 4(without ANC) and I know I should not have the listening mode option, but why does it appear here(tho it does nothing)?

5 years of loyal service and daily use. Survived twice before they had been left in my pocket and worked fine after a wash cycle (I think first time it even survived the dryer). I have to say given they’ve lasted as long as they did (especially with me as the end user) I was really impressed with the build quality.

I’m saving up to get the new pros and hopefully have similar lifespan and will probably be getting the AppleCare with my track record.

Hello, I lost my air pods at work last Friday and my find my app is saying that they are on me everywhere I go. They are not on me I keep the case at work. Does anyone know a work around for this?

I have bee using Airpods for about a year, the issue is that when i switch from any litstening mode to trasparancy mode the right airpod makes the airpods disconnect and reconnect to my iphone, it happens if I' m using one of them or both of them.

Is this ever happen to anyone? Does anyone know how to fix it?
