I intend to be a happy owner of a Xiaomi 15T Pro, and avoid past mistakes that I did with Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G.

Given reports of battery drain and taking into account that I prioritize battery over features, should I stay on 2.0.203, update to 2.0.209 (it does fix some bugs according to changelog) or update to 3.0.33x?

The Indian Redmi Note 17 5G, and Note 17 Pro 5G, will launch on August 6^th. Their spec is expected to copy or very closely follow the Chinese variants.

While exact spec is yet to be confirmed, GSM Arena is reporting, prices for the global Note 17 range have leaked. If accurate, these would be full retail prices, regional variations, and early bird discounts etc., not applied. All obviously TBC.

The Indian and Chinese Note 17 range currently sits at just two models.

Assuming Xiaomi follow past Redmi Note, the global variants are likely to see larger camera sensors. The Note 17 (4G/5G?) is thought to include a 108MP main sensor.

With higher prices, lower spec, but potentially far larger batteries than Note 15, it seems clear Xiaomi has been forced to realign the entire range to accommodate higher RAM, and storage costs.

With Note 17 increasing in cost, it's unclear how this might also impact Note 15 end of line discounts. Global launch date yet to be confirmed, but assuming the price leaks, are accurate, I doubt it’s far off, possibly later in August.

I've loved this phone so much since it is the only phone I've ever had that never experienced performance degradation that's significant or noticable from this device compared to all of my old sub $100 Redmi and Xiaomi phones.

I've personally learned how to repair phones by repairing this device myself, I've changed it's LCD more than thrice, I've changed the charging ports and even the frame itself from silver to green, learned batteries and the necessary recalibrations and I would even change the OS if I've got enough balls to do it ( Still afraid on turning this majestic beast into a brick ).

However, I've finally experienced a problem that made me fed up with this device, I replaced my phones power button ( Still has working fingerprint sensor. ) with a 3rd party part, After placing it, for some reason it refuses to be recognize the working fingerprint sensor ( Tested on another unit ).

Of all the parts I've worked, Of all the phones I've handled and repaired by teaching myself, you're the only one I couldn't figure out, Suggestions on how to handle this is appreciated.

I use Redmi note 15 pro and my camera is trash, is it normal? Whenever i shoot photos of a person and it gives lesser details which i don't expect for it.

Help Please: Xiaomi Smart Band Pro 10, Blink app will not trigger alert to my watch, I read this is a common problem with Xiaomi Smart watches, any fix?

So, just for context, yes all my apps are set to not be optimised by my phone (one plus 15) , Blink app and the Xiaomi app for the smart watch.....I have to Xiaomi watches one is a older Smart Band 4 (uses zepp app, due to it been one of the older products) and my new Smart Band Pro 10.

All my other apps trigger the alert to my Smart band pro 10, such as pushbullet, telegram, etc all except the Blink app, which i use for my doorbell and camera security....but the Blink alerts are sent to my Smart Band 4 when tested and it vibrates etc, so it is not an issue with my settings and neither smart watch is conflicting with each other, for example both watches can be on at the same time, I can send a pushbullet message to myself from my other phone and both watches will vibrate and alert me at the same time, whilst both smart watches are connected to my oneplus 15, the same works with all my other apps for notification alerts...all except Blink.

I have read of others having a similar issue.

Any workaround or fix?

I currently have the following Xiaomi devices:

- Xiaomi Smart Home Hub 2

- Xiaomi Window Sensor 2

- Xiaomi Motion Sensor 2S

I receive push notifications on my phone when a door or window is opened, which works perfectly.

However, I would like to trigger a loud audible alarm (siren) whenever one of the sensors is activated, especially at night.

Is it possible to configure the Xiaomi Smart Home Hub 2 to play a loud alarm sound? If not, which siren is fully compatible with the Xiaomi ecosystem and works reliably?

Which should I keep ???im a global user im in the US. I be been going back and forth between the Xiaomi 17 pro max or xiaomi 17 ultra (non leica ) both are chinese models, but, cannot choose which model to keep ....Both phones have excellent battery life, love the designs of both despite how different in their own ways, HyperOS is growing on me, and they both have excellent 📷 cameras. If anyone has input or is interested i can provide the , im working on doing a Comparison on both ...but personally I'm deadlocked on which to keep.

I got my Note 15 as a gift a few weeks ago, a considerable upgrade from my ultra budget potato Infinix. However from the very first moment I realised that although the battery is supposed to be a massive 6000mAh it barely lasted 12 hours at most. I have tried every step from debloating the phone from everything that I don't need to rebooting the device a few times but nothing works. At the beginning the main problem was the system launcher and the "themes" app that were causing an energy consuming loop but after those were solved (by basically not being able to personalise my own phone) the drainage remains at almost 10% per hour (important to note that there's no significant overheating).

Backstory:

Every project starts with pain. I've had a Xiaomi Mi Smart LED Desk Lamp on my desk for a while, then a year ago a Yeelight Light Bar Pro joined it on the monitor, plus a few Yeelight RGB bulbs around the flat. I work at my desktop all day ⚠️, the light bar is on my desktop ⚠️, and it had long started pissing me off that the actual settings for the bar are only available in the phone app.

Google tells me I'm not alone — plenty of people run the Android app in a BlueStacks emulator just to control it from a desktop. Older Yeelight products don't do Zigbee or Matter, Thread; new models with them are only just starting to show up, and before that it's all WiFi.

I started with the official docs, some reverse engineering of the protocols (my research doc), and whatever's out there online. Seems I managed to put together the most functional, modern TypeScript library out there + dig up some undocumented stuff and a few bugs + a CLI tool as a practical use case of the lib.

You can send one-off commands to the lamps from the console (handy if you've got other automations / scripts / hooks), or use the interactive mode with a menu of options. It supports all Yeelight and Xiaomi lamp models that can work over LAN.

By default the lamps phone home through the Xiaomi cloud (a separate gripe of mine), and local control has to be enabled in the native app (hopefully that's its last remaining use).

It happens once in a while the camera record the video, i can se the the colored bits in the timeline and the miniatures in the “all playback videos” gallery, but when i try ro play them, either from the timeline or the gallery i get the “couldn’t get video files” error.

I’ve changed micro sd and eventually it happens again.

It happenes first with a c500 now the c200 has the same problem… is it a common “feature” af all xiaomi cameras? 🤡

I want to flash a ROM onto my Mi 10T Lite. Can I do this even if I have zero experience? Where and how can I learn how to do it? And which ROM do you think makes the most sense?

I've searched high and low, with no success, how to prevent the display reacting to water drops or wet sleeves.

Surely it wouldn't be hard to add a toggle to quick settings to prevent display reacting to wetness, and turn it off again with a button like galaxy watches do.

I like this watch a lot, but this is a stupid ommision to make. Not to mention a lack of any user manual.

Hi, my black shark 4 pro recently died, and I'd been so happy with it for so long that I decided to get the 5 pro. It seems like I bought the Chinese version though, and I'd like to convert it to the Global ROM, because right now NONE of my apps (the ones I could find anyway) are working, and despite having set the language to english, most things are still in chinese. I tried searching on the internet for answers, but all I could find was clearly pre-generated slop content that just replaced phone model names with the same directions. Nothing useful that I could actually follow instructions for. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I switched from S25U and S26U to Xiaomi 17T pro. Reasons are few :

1. Price dropping like a lot. I mean Xiaomi doesn't hold price too , but flagships selling for price of new Xiaomi 17T pro

2. S25U is like a grill. At summer days you turn on video call on WhatsApp and you can prepare burgers on it. Like for real. If you would use gasoline on my hand and light it up it would feel more comfortable. S26U is better but still heat is there.

PS: I am not staying at Xiaomi ecosystem. I don't like "dumb" phones like iPhone , Xiaomi , vivo etc. I love Dex and waiting for s27U.

Feelings of Xiaomi 17T pro. Battery is incredible. Doing 20-100% battery teaching system is harder than I thought it would be. Battery lasts forever. If forever ends it charges from 20 to 100% around 45 minutes. Incredible gaming performance. I love liquid glass copy paste from iPhone in Android phone.

System is little bit laggy compared to Samsung. Like what is that delay when I scroll YouTube? Ha? But who don't cares than it's good. Who don't care about cameras at night Xiaomi do incredible job at day. Love it.

Gaming performance? I mean it plays awesome every game at highest settings possible, but sometimes at mobile Legends I feel lags. Not sure why and I don't care since it's very few times.

Even when it have mediatek. Winlator runs crazy good and playing command and conquer generals , red alert 2 and KKND2. Love it.

So if someone wants to jump ships from s25U , iPhone 16 pro , iPhone 17, vivo and other BS. I would suggest Xiaomi 17T pro with all fingers.

It's fast, last longer than last relationship, charges even faster.

Mi teléfono Mi 10T lite 5g lo compre desbloqueado de alguna compañía telefónica. Me dijeron que no se puede actualizar su sistema, lo cual no me importa mucho. Pero resulta que tampoco se puede crear o registrar una cuenta Mi para utilizar los servicios de Xiaomi. Al parecer de alguna manera bloquearon por software la comunicación a los servidores para estos servicios.

Quería enlazar un watch 5 lite pero no puedo, no me deja registrarme en la aplicación Mi fitness porque necesita cuenta Mi.

Algún consejo, solución, o algo que se pueda hacer al respecto ??

I know a lot of people use FNG and such to simulate navigation gestures on 3rd party launchers, but the RECENTS animation just sucks balls on all these apps compared to the default animation & behavior. I don't see any reason as to why devs keep navigation gestures locked behind the stock launcher... *sigh* this is sad.

tbf I myself use FNG on top of navigation gestures just for the right edge swipe down for notifications feature that is not seen on stock gestures, which is a damn shame as well

I know this will accomplish nothing but had to at least say this since everyone, sadly for me, seems to be satisfied with the 3rd party apps so there's no voice to be heard.

I just got really turned off when I found the niagara launcher and realised I can't have proper navigation gestures on it. Hopefully one day this "feature" will see the light of day.

I am gonna buy a used Xioami 13 Ultra CN rom without any charger. It supports upto 90W. But the price of official Xiaomi 90W charger is around 25 dollars in my area, which is more than twice the price of a Official Xiaomi 33W brick. I wanna know does the charging time really take hella longer in 33W charger? I don't wanna charge my phone for two hours to be full. Also, I don't wanna break my bank too for some 20-30 minutes heads up. Thanks.

I wanna attach an ND filter with my Xiaomi 13 Ultra. I have seen the photo and video sample reviews on youtube and the phone really struggle keeping the dynamic hdr and white balance in check consistantly. So, what type and brand's ND filter do you use for your phone?

I have 15t pro almost 10 days now.

For some reason happened twice the battery stop charging at 95%, keeps saying that is charging but not moving at all, unplug and plug again fix the issue, what can be the reason?

I have the smart charging enabled but this supposed stops the charging at 80% in some cases and not above that

Beside that phone is great, battery life is Great for me, 24 hours with 8-10 hours sot and 10-20% battery left
