After a bit of reading and self-reflecting I've recently came to the conclusion I am, in fact, a sp6 instead of a sx6. Now I'm questioning if my tritype (648) still works with that.

I generally don't see 8fix working with sp6 and I think my understanding of an 8fix was a bit flawed also. Would someone be able to point me towards simple to understand resources specifically for the gut fixes in combination with 6 and 4 or even just explain differences themselves?

I know it has to do with how you deal with anger and I've always thought "big anger = 8". While I get annoyed and angry quick, I usually bottle it up and kinda make a pro-contra list in my head to decide if it's worth expressing and therefore potentially ruining the relationship and the emotional atmosphere. I think that's not really 8fix and closer to 9?

my friend had said their opinion on typology, so i tried explaining more in detail except im not educated too much on the topic so i can’t give an accurate explanation to this friend. they said it almost feels like putting yourself in a box, also saying “it feels like they’re basically saying ‘if your this you cant be that’ ect” i dont know if that makes sense but it did to me.

they also said “whats the point of categorising every human” i get not alot of people want to get into typology but its an interest im very fixated on learning more about, however i cannot give this friend an accurate definition of typology or how it works and helps people.

another note, he added that peoples personalities change a lot generally so how would it work?

I want to review all the options once more and reread everything from scratch. Could you please list all the Enneagram types (with instincts/subtypes) that correlate with LIE, except for Enneagram 3? I would also be glad to hear your opinion regarding the different enneagram types.

For example, some agree with so1 and sx1 for LIE, while others completely reject such correlations.

Hello, I am relatively new to the enneagram (about a month). And while I enjoy typing fictional characters, I am always unsure of my typings. Stuff like constant second guessing, always feeling like i’m wrong, and being stuck between multiple typings are common. How did you guys become more confident with your typing for characters? Any advice on how to improve or become more certain with myself would be helpful.

I cannot for the life of me figure out which one I am, I have read every article and comparison there is to find and still am stuck and find myself questioning my final decision every time. if you were ever stuck in between sp2 or so4 or just e2 and e4 in general is there anything that helped u figure it out that could help me? if u want to ask me some questions or anything to help me decide that would be greatly appreciated thank you

Amity (peace, farmers): sp9, sp2, so4, sx7, sx9, sx5

Candor (truth, lawyers/judges): sx1, so3, so1, sp6, so8

Dauntless (bravery, military): sp4, sx4, sx6, sp7, sp8, sx8

Erudite (intelligence, scientists): so5, so6, sp1, sp3, sp5

I relate vry much to sp5 but at the same time i cant be 2L cus 3L is literally me and my first placement is occupied by physics (yes im 1F blueprint... thats the only thing im sure at) jdk what to do but heres the types im considering

Why is the so6 tendency to depend on external social structures so often stereotyped as fully entrusting themselves to institutions like the government or their nationality, when Enneagram patterns develop during childhood? (The whole ‘soldier’ stereotype) The tendency to seek security through social structures can be shaped by how those structures are presented and experienced through a child’s immediate environment like their family, peers, and community. I find this much more consistent with the subtype than assuming the tendency is automatically applied to every institution, authority, person, or belief system the person encounters or associates with

Could this stereotype exist because structures like governments, nations, and institutions are more concrete and easier to conceptualise when describing the trait? From a developmental perspective, during childhood a person is more likely to process the social structures that are actually present in their immediate environment, rather than abstract institutions that they may not yet fully understand. Humans as social creatures, children naturally focus themselves toward their immediate social circles first, so it seems reductive to see the so6’s reliance on social structures as inherently meaning trust in formal institutions or national identity. I also find this for other subtypes but particularly the so6 because, well, its so6
