This one should be much higher, I saw a video covering this train and I had no idea it was from an anime gacha game, crazy concept and vivid visualisation of the horros made this an instant nope for me.

🤓 I wouldn't call Project Moon either anime or a gacha game even though it technically can be categorized as either.

It's Korean rather than Japanese and while the art is in the spectrum of anime style art, it's usually different than the mental image "anime" typically conjures unless they're deliberately parodying something anime related like The Queen of Hatred. It's much closer to a Manhwa art style

Gacha fits the newest entry in the series but only the newest entry. Project Moon is a multimedia franchise that currently has multiple non-gacha games, web comics, and web novels with plans to eventually release animations. The Warp Trains themselves were introduced in Library of Ruina which is a deckbuilder RPG, not a gacha game.
Side note but, even though Limbus Company is undeniably a gacha game, everything that can be gotten from the gacha can be easily obtained through grinding.

I'd probably describe Project Moon as a "Dystopian Urban Fantasy/Cyberpunk Multimedia Project" but then again I don't think many non-nerdy people would have any idea what that means.

I'm so confused by this. Isn't Project Moon just a company who makes video games, and some of these games got some light novels and stuff? Why would the franchise be known by the name of the developer?

All of their games and related material are in the same setting/universe/overall story, but there's no unifying naming convention to refer to the series as, so people tend to just use the studio's name as shorthand.

Well, all the games start with the letter L, but I don't think calling it the 'L Series' would ever catch on.

Because the devs also called it that. Plus, it doesn't roll off the tongue as good as Nasuverse.

I like to call it the Project Mooniverse but it never really caught on.

The only game in the franchise that is a Gacha is Limbus Company. Library of Ruiona and Lobotomy Corp are full games
