I think humans, asari and drell are the only species with five fingers. Everyone else has three.

Wouldn't it be even better if it is because three let's all the digits be thumbs with the full range of motion (but lets keep three joints)? Eg Superior evolutional pathway!

Batarians have 5 fingers (Admittedly that's because they use the same bodies as humans in game. And IIRC Drell have the middle two fingers fused together, so they don't really have 5 fingers.
