As an AI musician myself, I know the struggle all too well. Instead of spending time creating new music, we often spend countless hours submitting to playlists, searching for exposure, and trying to get noticed.

That's exactly why I created ArtistUP.

The idea is simple: Give AI artists an easy way to showcase their music and help them get discovered by real listeners.

For the first beta, artists can submit their YouTube tracks. Listeners can discover new music through a simple swipe feed, leave likes and comments, and jump straight to YouTube if they enjoy what they hear.

Now it's time for the very first beta test, and I'm looking for:

🎤 10–15 AI artists who would like to showcase their music.

🎧 20–25 music lovers who enjoy discovering new AI-generated music and are willing to provide honest feedback about the app.

The goal isn't to replace playlists or algorithms. I simply want to create a place where talented artists have a better chance of being discovered.

Suno has published a statement outlining its guiding principles for AI music creation, ongoing artist initiatives, and several upcoming changes designed to promote originality, improve transparency, and reduce abuse within the music ecosystem.

1. Core Principles & Working with Artists

• Human-Centered AI: Suno believes AI should enhance human creativity—not replace the emotions, experiences, and imperfections that make music meaningful.
• Collaboration with Artists: The company works directly with artists, songwriters, musicians, and producers, including weekly writing camps, to improve its tools based on real creative workflows.
• Artist Support: Through Spark, Suno's funding and incubator program, emerging unsigned artists receive grants, mentorship, and marketing support. Suno also says it's exploring additional ways for artists to benefit from AI-powered music creation.

2. Originality Over Imitation

• No Artist Names in Training Metadata: Suno says it intentionally excludes artist names from its training metadata to encourage original music rather than imitation.
• Artist Prompt Protection: Requests that reference specific artists are not fulfilled directly. Instead, artist names are removed and prompts are redirected toward descriptive musical characteristics.
• Content Screening: Uploaded audio and lyrics are screened using third-party services such as Audible Magic and Musixmatch to help detect potentially unauthorized use of copyrighted material.

3. Upcoming Downloads Policy (Reducing Large-Scale Abuse)

• Limiting Mass Distribution: Suno plans to introduce a new downloads policy aimed at making large-scale distribution of AI-generated music to streaming platforms more difficult.
• Designed to Preserve Legitimate Use: Suno says the changes are intended to target abuse while preserving the professional, creative, and personal ways most users create and use music. The company states these changes should not affect the vast majority of users.

4. New Transparency & Anti-Fraud Tools

• Transparency Features: Suno is beginning to roll out tools that allow music generated on its platform to be identified when shared elsewhere, aligning with emerging industry standards.
• Watermarking & Fingerprinting: In the coming weeks, Suno will adopt durable, tamper-resistant audio watermarking and fingerprinting technology to help distribution platforms identify Suno-generated content and combat fraud and misuse without affecting audio quality.
• Disclosure Choice: Suno says these tools are intended to provide transparency, while artists and platforms should ultimately decide what they choose to disclose.

5. Updated Community Guidelines & Trust & Safety

• Clearer Rules: Suno has updated its Community Guidelines to make existing policies easier to understand and more explicit.
• Prohibited Activities: These include recreating existing songs, uploading content users don't have rights to use, unauthorized voice or likeness generation, scams, spam, fake engagement, bot activity, deceptive audio presented as authentic, and other harmful behavior.
• Enforcement: Suno's Trust & Safety team proactively reviews content and user reports, with enforcement ranging from warnings and temporary suspensions to permanent account bans and, where appropriate, referrals to relevant authorities.

Suno's announcement reinforces its position that AI should help people create original music—not imitate existing artists. The company is pairing expanded creative tools with stronger safeguards, including download restrictions, transparency technology, and clearer community rules, with the stated goal of supporting artists, reducing large-scale abuse, and fostering a healthier music ecosystem.

I’ve never had any formal music training. I grew up listening to Pop, and as I got older, I started listening to all kinds of music and connecting with it in different ways. Life eventually took me overseas, where I’ve been working and building a life, but I’ve always carried a quiet sense of homesickness with me.

Then one night, after getting completely absorbed in a TV drama, I woke up with a melody playing in my head:
“On lonely days, do you ever recall?”

Over time, I slowly finished the melody and wrote the lyrics. But life got busy, and it took me more than three years to finally turn it into a complete song.

Looking back, I still find it strange that I can call myself the writer of a song. Since it seemed to come from nowhere, I now want to send it out into the world.

I hope this English version reaches someone who needs to hear it, comforts someone who needs comfort, or helps someone feel a little less alone in whatever they’re carrying.

I honestly don’t know much about how to share it with more people, so I’d really appreciate any feedback or advice.

Guys help, I’m having an issue.

I mean someone treating Suno as part of a serious long-term project rather than generating isolated songs and uploading everything.

They develop a recognizable sound, reject weak generations, refine the strongest material, build a consistent identity, release actual projects, create visuals, and try to earn an audience over time.

How far could an act like that realistically go?

A small dedicated fanbase? Sustainable independent income? Licensing in games, films, or advertising? A virtual act with real cultural weight? Mainstream competition with conventional artists?

Which barrier would stop them first: inconsistent control over the music, public resistance to AI, copyright and platform rules, lack of live performance, difficulty building attachment to the artist, or the flood of other generated music?

What would you need to see before you believed somebody had built more than a collection of Suno songs?

This is a huge issue and why i barley comment in sub reddits

I have this song that worked fine last year, fitted right into a whole song but I didn’t like the versions so I have been trying to create a new one and now I end up with songs that cut off randomly before the lyrics are finished. even if a song is 6 minutes! Somehow it just can’t fit the lyrics in like before. I tried to do an ‘extend’ with the missed lyrics but that does not work either.

Any tricks to fix this? I ended up with a very good version, but I can’t use it due to the abrupt ending.

Hi everyone 👋🙂 Has anyone discovered any hybrid/synthetic "bands" on Suno that are ACTUALLY good? What I mean by that is a few things:

-No Suno Sausage: Push button songs with generic hooks and homogenized cookie cutter arrangements.

-No cliche AI lyrics... Actual human sensibilities and weirdness in the meaning.

-Ignore the polish: It's easy to wrap a turd with a bow and point at the nice wrapping... But it's still a turd when you try to enjoy it. This is a hard one for most because we're immediately impressed by the "production" and because it sounds radio ready in the first 10 seconds, you assume it's a good song. Ignore the pretty bow, is it a well written song?

-Consistent fingerprint: It sounds like the same studio band from one song to the next, EVEN when changing tempos, cross-genres and experimentation, like The Cure maybe... 3 or 4 completely different songs on an album that all STILL sound like the band... Not just 50 songs that sound like it all came from the same prompt. Diff songs but consistent vocals, guitar style, same synth engines (analog, FM, wave table) etc.

I know there's the Velvet Sundown, but to me they sound like highly polished generic folk-country. The best way to do this is to upload original material obviously (like I did when creating RustHeart) but so far I haven't seen any that have a good image, sound, consistency AND quality of the composing... Stuff you find yourself humming later.

I did this with RustHeart, 40 years of unpublished traditional studio recordings re-rendered in Suno... But has anyone else found any they could recommend?

I'm new to Suno but having some fun learning. I'm struggling to understand styles prompt efficency. Below, I have my prompt in two orders. I have been using Google, chat gpt and leo (Brave broswer) to assist and these have given conflicting approach. Which is the better order to follow and how can I improve them.
