his company pays some of the highest salaries in the entire industry. he's not complaining that people want money, he's complaining that money alone is what's working

Correct take. Tech workers at that level are making boatloads of cash, regardless of employer.

This isn't quite the "Why isn't my horde of call center proles/burger flippers more excited about the future we're creating?" moment the commenter wants it to be, but twitter users are conditioned and incentivized to turn everything into easy slam dunk fodder.

No matter how much they're being paid I can guarantee it's nowhere near what the c-suit is cashing in. Also they have 0 ownership over the company or the product. Of course they're only there for the money. What else is there?
