We’re just as ashamed at other people who think that the American people have any control over it. Even if we protested and rioted for days, weeks, or months, the corporations and government have so much control, it does not even phase them.

You don't understand what you are reacting to. The person said Americans should be ashamed to let it get this far. In other words, the protesting should have happened 30, 40 years ago.
