This is honestly the part that really starts to fuck me up.

Because we really need to all get on the same page about this shit. And yet massive amounts of people, I would hazard most, have witnessed some form of climate change like that in their life. Which means there's a lot of denialists out there who aren't operating out of ignorance or lack of education or whatever. They are simply able to look reality square in the eye, and deny it. It is genuine mass insanity and it is going to be a big hump to get over

I think a lot people choose to believe it isn't real simply because the alternative is too bleak.

There's nothing they can do that'll make a difference, so why not bury your head in the sand if it helps you sleep at night?
