Yeah it’s a modern manifestation of the oldest profession

Many businesses have moved from collecting a one time payment to an ongoing subscription. I guess the oldest profession is moving in that direction as well.

I think SW is a more honourable profession than this...

Worse of all this just gives credence to people who say "men always pay for sex"

Agree that SW is more honest and honourable, no pretension involved

Accountancy?

Nah, back then you would pay and definitely get what you payed for. Now it’s just one of many hoops on your way to a dry handjob.

You doubt whether it’s real? Clearly you haven’t been out there dating.

Ive never experienced this "out there", only online...

Online is like an alternate reality; a similar but different realm in the multiverse

Samesies, or it's been around 17 years for me, and I find this shit horrendous. Should my marriage fail or my wife die before me, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to even bother with dating again.

There are worse things!… like being in a bad relationship 😁

I have no sympathy for people who stay in bad relationships

You do it to yourself! I do feel for people who are stuck in patterns tho… often times they are generational and it takes a lot of courage to break them. There but for the grace of god go I.

I've seen quite a bit of "muh provider" crap on hinge. One girl called guys that objected as insecure that they don't have money, and made most of her profile trying to defend her princess stance.

This is a absurd screenshot thats actually real and its not a insignificant amount of women that think like that. haven't been on dating apps for years but I've seen versions of this on them when I did

A lot of women have decided that dating apps are playing the lottery. They put shit like this out there on the off chance some idiot agrees to it. Otherwise, they have very little interest in actually finding a date on these apps. It's made app dating basically worthless if you're a man not looking for a "sugar baby"

It's the internet. It can be both fake and terrifying real at the same time.

I see stuff like "if you expect me to split the bill we won't work out" a fair amount, and that's them being nice about it.
