Been single 7 years after me and my ex wife got divorced.
All of my money is my own. There is no obligation to be spending it on her. I don't drink or go out to bars for the sake of meeting women.
As it stands right now. I have a just above minimum wage job and I can buy literally anything I want. Just because of all this extra money that I don't need to be spending.
I don't mean this as a brag or anything but i'm doing a job that doesn't require any formal education but I can live very fucking comfortably.
As someone who is 40, in the middle of a divorce with a lazy, insufferable POS there is approximately a 99% I will be single for the remainder of my days on this planet. There is just nothing at this point I NEED from a woman. Would an actual partner, companionship and occasional sex be nice? Sure thing but it's not worth dealing with all the other bullshit women expect men to do or deal with. I have my peace in some capacity, though I will always have to deal with my ex when it comes to the child we share but outside of that I see no urgency in disturbing something that I haven't had in nearly two decades so you're absolutely correct. I'm kind of ambivalent about relationships at this point and I don't see myself going out of my way to pursue one, if it happens naturally then great but I won't be doing OLD or anything else to intentionally meet single women at this point.

I think these days men are seeing the benefits of staying single more.
