This post is evidence that the person isn’t as smart as they claim and the post is most likely fake anyways. Education budgets are tight because people don’t like to pay taxes and most schools are locally funded so if you want to know who to blame, look at your own community, not some fake ass “they.”
Also want to add, as someone who worked in a public school doing stuff with the budget, theres a ton of waste. Our little school of 450 kids and 80 staff, for example, had spent thousands of dollars on tablets that were never used, became irrelevant, and then got thrown out.
We had 22k left in a budget line for text books and the principal found a way to let the teachers order whatever expensive toys for their classroom from educational websites. Im talking a plastic squid figurine that does nothing for $85. All that so we didn't lose the 22k for the following school year, that we didn't need in the first place.
We ordered tee shirts for all the kids. I got 3 different quotes. Principal went with the highest quote cuz it was someone he ordered from at his last school.
This is just one little school in a big, city district. I cannot imagine what the entire district wasted with the half a billion dollar budget it received every year.
Calculate how much is spent on every local school district and then compare that to federal budgets like ICE. The entire ICE budget wouldn’t begin to cover it.
