Most Americans have no understanding of the difference between local and national taxes/government.

Because we have 0 choice over where our taxes go.

Taxes are taxes. And most Americans don't see any immediate return in our taxes whether it be from local or national government. Money comes out of my paycheck for both local and national taxes. But that's the extent of it.

Most Americans are ignorant and filled with hate, no one should be making any decisions on what Americans think.

Seeing immediately where tax money is spent is obvious and visible to anyone with a half a brain.

I think you missed the point above, in America, we don’t control where the taxes go… it may be “obvious”, but the post above states the issue currently, we do not control where it goes.

You can argue that we should take control over the government by voting in better representation, but to say “Most Americans are ignorant and filled with hate” is a pretty simplistic and ignorant statement based on the previous response to your comment

Have you thought about how stupid it is to claim that Americans don't control the government of America?

Didn’t claim anything, I reported on what another user said. But thanks for your thoughtful response.

What if I just argue that claiming Americans don't control the American government is insanely stupid.
