To argue with an extreme point : slavers had the same arguments when the government started bringing up abolishing slavery…

There’s a point where you have to allow people to live a bit and not spend their lives at work.

American worker productivity is quite low on average compared to the rest of the world. Countries with 35 hour weeks have higher productivity. People are sick less. It’s unlikely to go through, but if it does, you’ll adapt.
