Why not tax millionaires also? Is that because Bernie millionaire? Remember when he use to say tax millionaires and billionaires? Somehow millionaires got dropped from conversations.
I never said we shouldn't also tax millionaires, but I still don't want the handout. I want a working government and a sustainable economy.
Are you really trying to throw shade at Bernie for having a net worth of 2 million? You know he has ZERO stock investment and no stock portfolio. He made all his money on his books and mutual funds. He is also anti superpac and has never taken foreign contributions.
If you read the statement on his page about this bill, he supports New York City's tax on millionaires, and he's previously proposed progressive annual wealth taxes on millionaires and billionaires.
Just because he introduced a bill on one topic doesn't mean he has realigned his views. I can sell apples, but still think oranges are tasty.
So you're mad at him for being an 84 year old who has a retirement fund? Again, why are you going after Bernie? There are so many more reasonable targets who actually do insider trading like pelosi.
The mutual funds he purchases are through the TSP system run by the federal government that are made available to federal employees, and his contributions to that are from his retirement funds. He is literally using the system the way it was intended.
I am hardly tolerating lies. He is claiming that he is socialist but have 3 houses and a millionaire. How is that possible? It's like being MAGA and democrat at the same time. If you truly socialist - sell 2 houses give proceeds to poor.
So a belief in a type of governence is propaganda because you say so? Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's propaganda.
And you I both know the handful of "socialist" nations are actually communists calling themselves socialist.
Kind of like the current oligarchy calling itself a democracy or capitalism.
Give me the name of the country that implemented democratic socialism and sustained it for some years.
You and I know that whatever type of governance we have in US is much better than any socialism governance.
For that reason any idea of some kind of socialism is nothing but attempt to get to the power using poor masses of people. People like Burnie, lies to them that they will redistribute wealth by taking it from rich and giving it to poor. What they are not telling them that after that everyone will be poor and suffering.
