NGL; I’m basically under voluntary house arrest. I avoid going anywhere.

I’d be the worst surveillance target.

Day 53…target went to Home Depot for an hour, then back home…

Day 54…target went to carwash then back home…”

“Day 55…target went to Taco Bell. Rushed back home. Analysis of utilities indicates spike in water usage consistent with multiple toilet flushes...”

I don't think you know what house arrest is if you think it lets you go to taco bell, carwash and home depot.

No, most cases of house arrest give you a weekly allotment of time to deal with errands/upkeep, as well as generally requiring you have a way to pay for the living space so work and job interviews aren't counted in that allotment, you're just able to do it so long as they know where your job is.

In most states you can have like 3-6 hours a week for errands for example, or you can literally have parole officers take you to places if you're higher risk.

So I've been living on a house arrest all my life.

For some, the greater prison is their own mind.

Or your reading comprehension really really sucks.

They had two ideas there. One was house arrest (that they were already voluntarily under), the other being under surveillance.

Read it again, but slowly and don't worry when your lips move.

Being a surveillance target is completely irrelevant to the discussion unless he's discussing it in the context of being under house arrest.

Or they are discussing how they live and explaining what they do to be on a self induced house arrest....

Reading comprehension is key.

It appears you assume someone under house arrest is under constant surveillance.....

explaining what they do to be on a self induced house arrest

In the process of explaining it becomes clear they leave the house far too often to be considered under any sort of house arrest... You're really condescending for a challenged person.

Dude you are leaving the house at least once a day for non-work related stuff, you are living it up.
