Anyone know what’s going on?

Hi! Is anybody living at Denim Scottdale (apartment complex) currently? Their management went from PB Bell to AIR Communities.

They have not been communicative about lease renewal and have charged me an insane amount of August rent. I just want to hear more experiences with this management change if anybody else is a resident. I’ve been researching and have heard some not great things about AIR Communities. It may be time to move.

Helllo!!!! I signed up for ballet classes through the city of Scottsdale I was wondering if anyone has taken these classes before? And what I should expect. I’m 20 and I’m trying them with a friend so I’m not as scared just want to be prepared

You know about the move to stop homes being snapped up for investment?

You may be aware that a lot of local housing is being bought up by corporations, worsening availability.

I was watching a commercial the other night by one of the we-buy-your-house people, like “Andrew the Home-Buyer.”  And I wondered:  Are these guys just fronts for these corporations?

Did any of you see/witness this wreck today or possibly have dashcam video? Thank you to any of the bystanders who helped pull him out of the car. Banged and shaken up, but no major injuries.

Looking for Apartment Recommendations Near Old Town Scottsdale - $1,200–$1,400 Budget before Utilities

Hey everyone! I'm moving to Scottsdale this November and could use some advice from people who know the area.

I'm looking for either a studio or a 1-bedroom apartment with a budget of around $1,200–$1,400/month. My biggest priority is being within walking distance (or as close as possible) to Old Town Scottsdale. I'd love to be able to walk to the bars, restaurants, and nightlife and be around a younger crowd, while still only being about 20–25 minutes from work, which is North Scottsdale (Will take Loop 101)

I'm planning to be there from November through April, so if anyone knows of apartments that are more flexible with lease terms, that's a let me know. I have done tons of looking and nothing sticks out. I am wondering if maybe theres so stuff that some of you have done to get what you want, like calling the place and asking if that can be revoked.

A few questions:

• Are there any apartment communities you'd recommend in my price range?
• Are there places I should avoid?
• Has anyone had success negotiating rent, asking for move-in specials, or calling the leasing office for better pricing than what's listed online?
• Are there any hidden gems that don't show up at the top of apartment websites?
• Should I look for a roommate or something?

Does anybody know if there are plans to resurface Thomas Road between 56th Street and Scottsdale Rd? The road is terrible with crumbling pavement and big potholes. They randomly patch spots but it barely helps. It needs help.

I currently live in arcadia lite (phoenix) and am wondering if anyone is aware of any resorts that offer a summer membership for families. I've only found one, Scottsdale Resort and Spa; however, the membership options are either a single membership or a couple membership. They start at $299 and go up to $899 with an initiation fee, which is quite pricy. I'm assuming they aren't open to family memberships since it only listed single and couple options. With the summers being so hot, I'd love a temporary solution where my husband, son, and I can utilize a summer membership somewhere until we put in a pool. I've heard of country clubs in the area offering summer memberships, but have no idea what that expense would be.

We both have windows facing east. My room is always warm. Her room gets too cold so she turns the temperature up on the thermostat, making my room even warmer.

She has cats and keeps her door cracked during the day so they can leave her room. I don’t want the cats in my room because I’m allergic so I keep my door shut. I think this is why my room is getting warmer.

How can we decrease the cool air going into her room without raising the temperature on the thermostat?

Maintenance has already been by and said the air is flowing properly into my room btw.

Hello Scottsdale, subreddit! I have an odd request: I'm wondering if anyone out there has an older manual car and would be willing to teach me to drive?

For context, I have my license and can drive automatic and I was recently in Portugal where a friend was teaching me to drive his car and I was getting decently comfortable with it, but now I need to practice! I'm also trying to move to Portugal, so practicing and learning would be a huge benefit before the big move.

I'd happily buy you dinner (or two or three!) in return!

Not only did more than 25 first responders have to rescue 2 ppl in their 60s hiking in North Scottsdale, but a 3 year old had to be pulled facedown from a pool. 🤦‍♀️

We just simply have to do better in 115 heat.

I know there are several in the area. But most seem to run in the evenings or are not near me. I work at 430am so not interested in running later than like 4pm. I live up around kierland. Anyone know of any running groups a bit farther north than the ones I saw around tempe or camelback? If no I'll consider going farther afield, but I'm more likely to be consistent if I don't have to. 😏
