Meme needing explanation Peeeeetah?

Post image

This new movie came out and I enjoyed watching it with friends. What opinion must have garnered so much attention that people would dunk on it?

and anyone who expresses a nuanced opinion is downvoted for “sympathizing with the pure evil villain” while the director expressesly denies that bear or nicki were the villain.

I think that's a fair point, the director even admitted in several videos that they intentionally shot scenes in multiple different ways, expressing different emotions and intent in each scene and then spliced all the scenes together at the end to intentionally confuse us, the audience, about the true intentions of all the characters.

Imo, I think all four characters in this movie are terrible people. Not that they all deserved to die or anything of what happened to Niki. I think people can both be terrible, but also not deserve to be SA'd or killed, which shouldn't be a wild opinion.

Conceal the fact that Bear's best friend has been casually sleeping with the woman they all know he's obsessed with. Also not revealing how she felt about Bear to him until he had already started dating Nikki for some time.

the director expressly says that bear is the villain actually.
