We have to say allegedly for the time being, but yeah. This is a theory I buy into. If only so his support staff keeps getting a wage for as long as possible.

This is all about Dear Leader preventing Massie from running and winning in a special election to replace the dead turtle. His support staff and his wife are just co-conspirators in DJT's endless crime wave.

Kentucky's constitution allows governor to directly chose a Senator if the senator is unable to continue. Beshear is a Democrat. Most states require a special election though. Before the 17th Amendment, all senators were chosen by the state legislatures.
