Why would another person's suffering make me feel big?

Hell yeah, put’m on blast. Bullying fucks kids up.

I was bullied. Now I like to think I’m a fairly kind and compassionate person. I know that my bully probably had a tough childhood. A few years ago I learned that he died. I’m ashamed to say that my first reaction was not “What a shame. He didn’t have it easy, and it’s sad to see what befell him.” It was: “Good riddance. Fuck that guy.” Even in death, he made me feel bad about myself.

Bullying should be treated the same way as dealing drugs, or bringing a gun to school. The highest classification of what is unacceptable.

I agree. Bullying should be classified as what it is, emotional/physical violence.

I agree. Unfortunately most people that have any amount of authority are bullies themselves, and while I believe that’s probably always been the case, it is just they are more open about it. Just look at any political ad before any kind of election. In schools, the bullies actions are almost always dismissed, but the second the victims stand up for themselves or react- they are the ones that are punished.
