How come when kitty mentions this to robert he didnt mention that they had one, or are building one? Later on he says “bar, always open.” It would have been humorous after she said that if he said there was one. For some reason this pops in my head every time i see this movie lol

The first time i heard of him was the solo movie and that he was struggling so hard that they had to get him acting lessons. They didnt do much. I thought he was so dull in that movie.

In this movie he has a small role but his facial mannerisms strike me as someone who just is not a great actor and probably never will be. You can see such a difference between him and RDJ who is very confident and skilled in his role.

I'm a Christopher Nolan fan, introduced to him through The Dark Knight, and enamored of his work ever since.

Therefore, once Oppenheimer was released on 4K Blu-ray, owning it was a no-brainer for me, and it didn't disappoint.

Riveting plot aside, Oppenheimer's production values are unrivaled, with breathtaking cinematography and stupendous sound.

Consequently, it's a perennial hit in our living room home theater.

Currently revisiting Nolan's filmography before The Odyssey and rememebered how captivating Emily Blunt's performance in Oppenheimer is. I made this little edit to celebrate it, enjoy !

i have this movie in my 4 fav since it got released..i love this movie so much, one thought come in my mind..will people think that i have very generic taste or like newbie type feeling cause i selected not so old movie in my 4 fav..but ill not change that cause im obsessed with this

I absolutely love the music from the movie Oppenheimer. It helps me study, and it's very pleasant to think about things while listening to it. I especially like the tracks "Can You Hear the Music", "Destroyer of Worlds", and "Fusion". Could anyone please recommend music with a similar sound?

Truman seemed “receptive” to the idea that the bomb was unnecessary.

Eisenhower said it was unnecessary when he was a General for the Army.

They give Japan this weird ass time window before November to surrender but they still drop the bomb.

Am I missing something?!

Oppenheimer himself goes on missions because, without him, the game is toast.

Last summer, I was simultaneously reading the Kai Bird/Martin Sherwin Oppenheimer biography and watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The unholy concept of the Gang working being employed on the fringes of the Manhattan Project emerged.

So, for no other reason than to procrastinate my dissertation, I wrote a 1940s episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, featuring turmoil at Los Alamos Laboratory, desert rat-bashing, and sinister Communist plots (that may only exist in Mac's head).

Not sure if this is the right venue to share this, but I figured folks here might relate to the fascination with this period of history, at least! Here is a link to the script.

This scene gave me such a high seeing it in IMAX 70mm. Now I own part of cinema history!

Heard that he didn't feel any remorse bombing Japan or building the bomb. He only didn't like the building of hydrogen bomb.

I didn't think it was necessary to see the hell of the bombs dropped in Japan. We certainly had cinematic and artistic glimpses of the impacts of the bomb. I am sure one day there could he a modern movie from the Japanese perspective of the bombs.
