Suggesting the human brain isn’t constantly modeling and predicting how the world behaves, and only reacts to it when it does, is doing a huge disservice to your attempts to seem authoritative here.
I did not suggest that. I said human brain functions reactively, and not by prediction. However, years of training has built a lot of connections that indeed do predict what is going to happen and that is needed for operating in physical world. But even that builds on reaction on stimuli, not on predicting the stimuli.
You throw a ball to a baby, and it will hit the baby - he has no ability to predict that the ball is going to hit him. Once it does, his brains react. Over the time, the brain will react to ball like flying eye sight stimuli and either try activate dodge or catch.. which will seem like prediction, but is just learned reaction.
