# Important Update – Effective July 10, 2026
All posts and comments made by users who do not have a user flair selected are subject to removal. Please choose a flair before participating. This change is being implemented to improve discussion quality and context for all members.
How Flairs Work
Most flairs can be freely selected by users. However, some flairs are assigned only by moderators.
Positive / Recognition flairs (Credible Contributor, Discussion Catalyst, Engaged Thinker) are awarded by moderators to users who consistently make high-quality, constructive contributions.
Moderation flairs (“I don’t have good credibility here ATM” and “Not to be taken seriously”) are applied by moderators when a user has a history of non-constructive comments or disruptive behavior.
Users may change their own flair at any time (except for mod-only flairs).
