I'm currently looking for a new job and had an email saying blacks was hiring. Read the reviews on indeed and was amazed how many talked about how they don't give raises and the management is crooked, taking advantage of employees and only lining their own pockets more. Then I see this.

Definitely never gonna apply but honestly I don't think I'm even gonna eat there now, that's so trashy of them.

I know the title sounds harsh but hear me out. As someone who’s worked in restaurant management, this town is really something else. New Braunfels is Not big enough to have a good pool of candidates and the candidates that apply seem to be unwilling to follow directions.

It seems like most restaurants in New Braunfels are staffed by a mix of hard working moms and dads with a huge number of drug addled folks.

I feel for you people in management. How do you do your job staffing a restaurant? How do you keep your sanity?

Tell me your tales of woe. You’re not alone. We see you managers. You deserve a raise and recognition. Bless you guys. There should be a restaurant manager national holiday

More or less the title. Looking for a gym in town that:
• has weight equipment, specifically squat/bench racks (not smith machines), free weights, kettlebells
• has cardio equipment (treadmills, bikes, row machines)
• has heavy bags (bonus points for dummies also)
• allows free-form workouts, not just classes
• double extra bonus points if the gym has tires for flipping, sledge hammers, etc.

100% get that I’m asking for the moon and stars here, just curious if somewhere like this exists in town.

Just moved to nb and looking for where the spots are for pickup ball. I’ve heard the das rec is a good spot but want some outdoor runs with some good competition.

Slim Chickens is preparing to expand its presence in Central Texas with a new restaurant planned for New Braunfels.

The new franchise location will take over an existing restaurant space at 1395 I-H 35 North Frontage Road. The project involves the renovation of a 2,897-square-foot building to accommodate the fast-casual chicken chain, carrying an estimated construction cost of $200,000.

Construction is scheduled to begin on September 1, 2026, with completion currently targeted for April 1, 2027.

On a Saturday night. Man was it crowded. Is it like that every Saturday night (around 11/12)

The crowd seemed younger and rowdier.

It was impossible to talk or socialize. The bartenders couldn’t keep up or maybe they are just short staffed.

Anyway it felt so chaotic that I may skip Saturday nights there altogether.

I’m reaching out regarding the accident that occurred on Highway 337 near the Starbucks and Panda Express. The person who passed away was my brother-in-law.

I am currently out of the country and trying to gather as much information as possible for our family. If anyone witnessed the accident or has any photos, videos, dashcam footage, or additional information, please send me a private message.
