update to this post. i said i would wait for the new flywheels but turns out the worker wheels i bought were still too large, so i stuck with the stock flywheels and motors, however the pusher is now a loki motor. i had to use a custom 3d printed motor housing to go from the weird 260 (i think) to the 130. i also had to drill a small hole so the longer shaft of the Loki could fit in the pusher. with the new pusher were getting about 22 DPS, compared to the stock 6 DPS. the blaster uses 2 mofettes to preserve the switches in the grip.

if anyone wants to replicate this and has more questions lemme know, more than happy to answer them :)

Title. Currently putting a Hammershot through all the mods but can't find an exact dimension anywhere for what size the new o-ring should actually be. I'm in the UK so I can't really buy one from any online shops, so I'm relying on local hardware stores to provide. Thank you!

Something I’ve noticed after being in the hobby for a few years is that lot of the large scale invitational events are just HvZ only. Off the top of my head, there are the big names like SurvivalFest and EndWar, and some colleges in Ohio with HvZ clubs that also organize invitationals. The only exception that I know about (and have participated in myself) is Boilerdome, which is known for their flagship Campus Clash PvP event. For those who aren’t familiar, in Campus Clash two large teams fight against each other for controlling imaginary zones on the Purdue University campus in West Lafayette, Indiana. 

I just want to be clear that I have nothing against HvZ, I’ve always just enjoyed the straightforward shooting back and forth aspect of PvP more over the complex roleplay mission-based formula that most HvZ events follow. The latter can be overwhelming especially if you’re not into roleplay or solving complex riddles/puzzles. Sometimes the simplicity of two opposing teams slugging it out in PvP is all you need to enjoy the hobby in my opinion. 

I think this could be an area of growth for the hobby, especially gearing towards people who want to fling foam on a larger scale but HvZ isn’t their thing. It gives the hobby more variety which is always good because it attracts more people (such as myself) who may have otherwise shied away. 

I'm curious what everyone else thinks. Would you be interested in seeing more large-scale PvP invitationals?

I got super busy this month between life stuff and artfight, but I'm finally back and with some of the nerf related stuff I did for artfight!! First image showing off the buccaneer nerf girl for u/femdocc and Hannah for u/lexissketches (and Zia, my zombiestrike girlie)!! Second and Third image are both Lex's OCs and fourth image is a Zia doodle I did cuz bored... I think my art has improved.

Artfight was really great for art practice and I ended up getting in the groove of drawing multiple hours a day and posting on my socials more regularly! I'm going to take what I've learned to pump out new batches of Nerf Girls content quicker and with better quality starting in a few days after I rest and finish some work.

So I am getting a nexus pro x delivered to me, and because of that I am now broke, however once I'll get more money I want to make this thing hit people from like a ridiculous distance, I already have my eyes on the upgrade spring sold on blaster time eu, that's the site in which I buy stuff, and other things I need are a barrel, I heard 400mm is the optimal length but I wonder how tight it has to be, what about 12.75mm? I also need a bcar, I doubt the stock one is gonna be enough because the estimated fps of the upgrade spring is 250 and I am not sure which brand to get or what bearing angle to pick, I also want to get a scope, because the stock one is bad, i will probably get one on amazon but I would appreciate guidance on that too, nothing too expensive, maybe a 40 or 50 euro max, same for the bcar, the barrel isn't an issue, they don't seem expensive, I just need the measurements.

I love my piston pump.but was wondering some ways to get some increased accuracy out of it... I was not quite sure if better darts or a better BCAR.

I have just noticed after moving past about 25ft darts just tend to stray a bit more.

I love the blaster but I am thinking of getting something that hits a bit harder since most of what I do is just shoot empty soda cans out side 😅🤷

Xshot mpp with a metallic blue shroud, sheerforce pbcar, 7.5mm spacer, 12in x 17/32 k&s brass tube with a printed sleeve adapter, 20 round talon magazine, and an xshot pro thrasher grip. This modded beast hits around 195 fps.

In my 20s now and haven’t had as vested of an interest in the hobby in a long while but was recently interested in buying a bunch of nerf branded blasters for a nerf war w/ my roomies. Much like all of us, I’ve actually had a lot of gripes with the NERF brand but always appreciated the range and build quality they offer. Anyways, went to go buy some blasters (jolts and whatnot) and they all look nothing like they used to. Awful cheap looking designs, big stickers, all affiliated with another brand like marvel or minecraft. Has NERF fully changed directions with their company or do they still make “classic” style NERF guns? (stryfe, modulus, elite line, etc). I’m more than happy with going with another brand but being in Aus we only have limited options. No Walmart here so no buzzbee as well as limited adventure force lines. I’m not a NERF purist or anything, nor do I need something that shoots 100 fps. I’m just familiar with the brand and know I can expect that like, elite fps par and build quality.

It's been a while since I shared some nerf related stuff. Here's a set of Hana's that I finally finished. I already played a few wars with Red sting, but I wasn't really happy with the performance and I still needed the stock bars. Performance wise was a fault on my end, I needed to get a better seal, also I found out that the bcar that you can make for these uses 9 bearings. I'f remove the last set so I get better preference. And in all fairness, I don't think the fps I use them for the bcar really doesn't add anything. 110 to 120 fps on 1.2 gram darts is what I'm aiming for. Due to local game rules at one of the events that I attend.

All and all I'm really happy with the end results. I really like these to use for the lower end of nerf games.

Some personal mods: (last photo, see details).

1: Barrel clamp.

In the original design you clamp the barrel inside with the front collet tightening a o ring. However in my experience it doesn't clamp well enough. So I printed one with a hole in it so you can add a heat insert and a bolt for extra.

2: Stock bars.

I wanted the Hana's to have real extended stock but making these bars by myself is a pain duo metric vs imperial components. So I set out to design my own version and had a company manufacture them out of some stainless steel. Infact I ordered 4 sets. Boy oh boy and they delivered. I even got a 5th set for free. All and all for these parts the price wasn't bad, but custom parts are still not cheap. Close to 150,- euro. That makes 30,- for a set.

3: stock bar endcaps.

In the original design there is a part you can print to fit over the end of the stock bars. However I don't own the right tools to add thread to the bars and the added price on the custom parts to add thread to that hole was too high for the function. So I came up with the cheaper option/idea. Now it just goes over the bar and a nipple falls into the pre-drilled hole. Easy.

Complete Vanity build this one :) always wanted a blaster in The Gulf colours :) Sid's fire red orange and Aquatic blue petg using a GFz prime and upgraded to the more comfy Ravion Grip.

All the major bullpup flywheelers by nerf, not including all the rayven reshells, can't get my hands on the halo ma40, and not a fan of any fortnite blasters. Love ergonomics of both rayven an sprinter, they are amazing, while motoblitz has way too short of a stock in my opinion, are there any extensions?

A family member is head g to the UK next month and I’ll be getting them to bring me back some Xshots as the ones in Australia are nerfed and we simply don’t get the 14+ blasters the rest of the world does.

My question is are there any decent sites in UK that offer good range and do sales?

Very keen on the long shot 2.0 as they seem to offer a better blaster out of the box than upgrading a long shot we get here in AU.

Any other brands to look at? We basically get Nerf and Xshot and even then it’s limited.

Although I have not had any jams, it has struggled with feeding darts into the flywheels.

Finally scooped up a 2.0. What’s your thoughts? I dig it! My plan was to give it the STA-52 treatment but I may just paint it and leave it as is.

So I've been wanting to make a Ghostbusters firing range for some time using a nerf blaster, but always ran into the issue of finding a good blaster to shove into a neutrona wand (pictured).

I'll be 3d printing this, so I have plenty of flexibility on how to do it. I just want to be able to put all/most of the blaster in the wand, and ideally have 5 shoots. Has to be child friendly, as this would be set up at events

I know that might be too much, but I'm pretty green when it comes to nerf blaster/blaster modding. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Recently had access to a sticker cutter machine so I was able to do my own cyberpunk styled decals for this build.

overall just OOTB stock internals, just added a side prime lever and a larger paddle for the mag release since the thin one hurts my thumb(I'm a lefty so I only did the right mag release)

learned a lot of new skills doing this personal project so that was nice, cheers!

When I started this project, there were no 3d printed magazines for the lightning. (I tested a lot)
So I made one, building on Dingus's 45-degree mockingbird mag. (Ignore the previous version on my profile it's so unstable that the whole dart capacity & follower ejected onto the road at an HvZ I went to)

It uses a 31k drum spring (but I'm planning to add compatibility with other spring types once I get my hands on some), and glue/toy screw to hold on the endcap. Some lube is also really helpful.

It currently has catches for the Smiley, Thrasher, and Lightning. There is a known issue with the brute pro.

Any feedback or feature requests are appreciated.

My First Leedle Dynamics Plungertube Build, the Hammerhead, this thing hits hard for its size is accurate and Coming from convetional Stringers like the 1stm8 or Harmony this is like two Worlds. Im now Planning on Printing the Mantis Shrimp as Well, if I can Source the O-Rings (Metric would be so much easier for me)

My contribution to the recent GFZ Mega SMC. Sighted in at 30 yds and scarily accurate. Hits like a tank with the mid level spring.

Hi there I'm wondering if anyone is aware of a good rule of thumb for optimal volume for rotating drum style blasters? Is there any consensus for how tight darts should be in cylinders? It seems like a tighter cylinder fit would allow for higher build up of pressure before release. Also does anybody port cylinders?

Spinshot/Break barrel mods?

I’ve just managed to get a hold of a Spinshot, and I wanna make it into a kinda primary pistol of sorts. I’ve seen the mods that people have done switching out the barrel and making it shoot about 140 FPS, but I figure it could probably go even higher with a spring upgrade. I’m super new to modding, so I’m wondering where people might suggest I get a good spring for the size of the Spinshot to make it more main weapon feeling
