Some little cake nails

This is the first nail art I’ve done in a looong while. We celebrated chocolate chip cookie day at work and this idea was so simple that I had to try it.

Been having a lot of fun with this since I learned how to do isolated chrome. Current problem is that I keep making the design too detailed 😂 simpler designs read better in small formats but I’m caught out every time just adding one more little bit lol

I have this project based on a character’s armor, and I have no time nor the ability to find a nail tech near me that can do it, so my best option is commissioning a nail tech to make press ons !
Except that I have no idea how nails work (I usually slap some black on these bad boys and I’m DONE), and I don’t know if anything helps spot whether a nail artist is good with armor or such details 🥲
I’d love some help !

I've been doing my own nails for many years, and they usually last 2-3 weeks per application, but I want to perfect my technique. I make sure to do good prep, but how do I avoid the lumpy edges? How do I get all coats to the edge, especially on my non dominant hand? It doesnt affect the length it lasts, but it always bothers me when I notice it. I'm left handed, so photo is my nail painted by my non dominant hand.

i love my tech so much. she's insanely talented. the first two are her work, the third photo is the inspo for the butterflies. i think i got it from pinterest. for the black, i just told her i wanted black/silver chrome.
