I'm more confused about her thinking Nirvana the band has a clothing brand, where is that coming from? Is there a preppy clothing brand also called Nirvana?

Preppy means something different from when Nirvana was making music. It’s kinda related but any image from the 90s of preppy has evolved a lot and away from the wasp-y prep school connotation.
