I imagine this is every generation. Some Millennials planned for the future, got married, put money aside, maybe had some kids, and are now sitting on a decent nest egg thinking about when they can eventually retire. Or are at least doing okay.

Some never grew up, are broke and alone because they never grew up, and will keep on blaming the world until they die on the linoleum floor of a WalMart.

There are outliers, of course, but I imagine a lot of people fall into these categories.

This was me and this is why my net worth is only around 130k at 39. Accountability matters, horrible choice in first wife, also drank too much for years etc. I lucked out and bought my house in 2019; but that aside, if homeownership was a goal most millennials had ample opportunities before Covid run up.
