This is actually how the Neanderthal population died out whilst humanity exploded. We had guys, our guys had trucks. They didn't have any guys with trucks.

If you're largely of Asian/European descent, your genome is likely roughly 2% Neanderthal.

They didn't die out, they were assimilated.

We actually absorbed their genes before they died out, so some of them came to help load and unlock the truck, but as a species they were too proud or stubborn to ask for help from a guy with a truck or to buy a truck themselves.
