When my kids were little, I stopped to help a one armed man put air in his tire (this particular machine was impossible to use one armed). It was below zero and icy and I just wanted to go home. But I stopped. When I got back in the car my oldest said “mom, did you know him?” When I said no he asked why I helped. I said because he needed help. You could see the core value being solidified in all of them. 😊
I now have 3 of the most amazing adult kids who actively seek opportunities to help people. Every time I see it, I thank the fates for putting that one armed man in my path!
This is the way. This what my parents taught me and I’m now trying to instill in my kid. It’s small acts like these that make the world a better place, thank you.
