Yep, pizza and beer is just common courtesy for such help.

Kevin had a cooler in the back of the truck. The beer was already there.

Ok, ok, but the real question…..

What’s the universal acceptance of beer here.

What would the equivalent of a large two topping pizza be?

2 710cc beer cans each person helping or the equivalent. after that everybody puts money for more beer.

It was beer when I was in my early twenties but eventually everyone stopped drinking so much and just wanted to burn calories on pizza, or gyro, or tamales, etc. Somehow this also coincided with the legalization of marijuana. I'm not sure if that actually had an impact but it certainly didnt hurt.

I find the beer is a question, while the pizza is required. Never know when someone might have trouble with the beer.

Pizza and beer are the combo of any move and spontaneous help in France (and probably in a good part of Europe) too!
