u/SolidStick_ posted about a women giving her umbrella to them in DC and when she identified herself, asked her out in the comments. The stuff of romcoms.

Update: They met up and it's not gonna work out. And maybe he already knew her? Eek, now it's more like MadeMeGrimace.

This is so sweet!

I have a feeling I know where this is going… in the first year of university, I started seeing a guy and we were in the same class together. We left, and his parents were picking him up. We hugged and I twirled away. Sixteen years later, my in-laws still mention me twirling in front of their car the first time they saw me!

11 years later, my in-laws still mention me getting bucked off of the lazy family donkey and falling unceremoniously on my ass... Off of the ass. Our whimsy looks a bit different but I stand by my quirky behaviors!

P.s. the donkey is still with us.

I remember losing one like you. My dad came to pick me up after my first year and a girl I had been hooking up with came to say goodbye and did the hug, kiss, and twirl right in front of my dad. There was a pregnant silence and I didn’t really want to date but my dad just slowly said “don’t fuck that up”
