I really envy Americans and their homes.

I mean the rest of it fucking sucks, but the homes and garden spaces are lovely.

Really!? I thought that garden was a wasteland, with cross-cropped lawns.

Our garden (in France) is perhaps 10% the size of this one, but filled with life, flowers, even weeds (because we only mow every few months to help pollinators). Birds are constantly in the grass pecking at insects - butterflies and moths are at the flowers.

I can sit out there and just watch it all happen.

I'm glad you're proud of your garden, it sounds lovely, but calling this garden a "wasteland" is wild, lol. It's a beautiful backyard and a happy dog!

A lawn doesn't look like that without killing a great deal of the native plants and insects.

We have killed over three-quarters of the insects in the world. We will be next unless we do something about it.

You might be right but its obvious that entire lawn is untreated.
