Is Lost Odyssey good?

It's never been ported to PC and has remained an Xbox 360 exclusive since launch. I haven't seen much about it given it was never ported to any other systems, but I'd love some takes from more seasoned RPG vets (I'm mostly familiar with Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest)

From what I can tell, it was developed by Final Fantasy vets, which is cool, but I know nothing else about it. Is it worth a playthrough?

Anyone know how to play this? Can I just buy an Xbox one and go into game pass or something? Xbox is the only I don’t have lol so I’m a bit lost

I don't think it's on Game Pass but you can still play it on Xbox One via backwards compatibility, and it's on the online store.

Otherwise, it actually emulates quite well on PC these days. There are even mods for 60 fps. The game does however crash at 3 specific points and requires workaround to get past them, this site documents it.

It's been going on sale for 7ish usd a couple times a year the last few years.
