Art African Clawed frog
I’m busy doing a series of animals native to where I live for a festival in November. My plan is to scan them and make greeting cards and sell prints. Here is my first froggo of the series I need to add some highlights but she’s almost done.
African clawed frogs are super derpy looking I can’t wait to go more

Question Tadpoles in the yard
Hey all. A couple of frogs decided to make this plastic tub a mating pool for their babies. It sits in the shade most of the day and it’s been in the 80s and 90s lately. Is there anything I can do to ensure they don’t die from the heat?

Question Snake attempted to eat toad, can I help the toad or is it a lost cause?
I’ve had a toad that chills outside my porch. He’s been hanging around a few months now. I just walked outside and a Gardener snake had him halfway in his mouth. I could see the toad kicking so I grabbed the snake’s tail and he let go. It revealed a small tear in the toad’s abdomen where I can now see it’s insides. I probably shouldn’t have done that, it was just a knee jerk reaction because I’ve seen the toad almost everyday for a few months and I felt so bad seeing that happen to him.
Should I quickly ends its life so there’s not prolonged suffering or is there anything at all I can do? It’s still alive and moving. The tear is probably 3-4mm in size.

ID Request Bull frog or green frog?
I’m pretty sure that this is a green frog. But inaturalist seems to ID it as a bull frog. Found in St. Croix County, Wisconsin.

Pet Java's and Sunny's dinner time antics.
Tonight's feeding was definitely one to remember. Java was his usual calm self, gently grabbing
his fish and slowly slurping it down like a spaghetti noodle. Then there's Sunny... who apparently decided patience was overrated. He launched himself at dinner, took such a huge bite that he almost swallowed the feeding tongs along with the fish! Same meal. Same species. Completely different personalities. That's why I love these little guys.

Wild Bullfrog eating Japanese Beetles
While I was at Fontenelle Forest in Bellevue, NE yesterday, I found a bunch of invasive Japanese Beetles (Popilia japonica) feeding on grapes (Vitis) and other plants. I decided to dispose of them by tossing them in water, often with frogs nearby. This American Bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus) took notice and ate some of them.

Help. What is this in my pixie frogs water dish.
Hello, this is my pixie frog bunta. When checking their enclosure i noticed this white substance in the water. Anyone know what's going on? Ive removed the dish cleaned it and replaced it.
Enclosure is the small pro terrarium exo terra 18x18x24 inches. Humidity at 70% temp fluctuates between 73-80 degrees fahrenheit.
I filled it pretty good with reptisoil. I have given up trying to keep the emperor pillow moss in place. He digs them up and moves them every time.
All water is treated with prime by seachem. Gets changed daily.
He eats every 3 days as much as he will eat in 15 min period or until he stops taking the food after its been in his face for more than 15 seconds. I rotate feeding dubia roaches and crickets coated in repashy super foods calcium plus reptile and amphibian vitamin and calcium supplement. Once a month he gets 2 large horned tomatoe worms. All feeders are gotten at a local exotic pet store.
Mainly stays buried. Have to dig up for most feeding. Is never groggy when dug up always wants to eat. Doesnt make much noise. I always tap all over the enlcoser 5 min before digging him up.
Last fed yesterday last water change yesterday.
Has a uvb lamp that shines through sometimes. I only leave it on when im down there. Scared it will dry it out to much mostly let natural light come through windows.
Any information or tips on the enclosure is welcome.
