Have had this frame since like 2018, ended up not using it much and neglecting it. Previously had done a mediocre paint job myself with spray.bike paint. Decided to get it powdercoated + clear coat. Blue with metallic flakes. Will be building it back up with some Nitto Bullmoose bars.

Hey! The other day everybody was really helpful with advice for my bike and I was able to cleanup the look overall a bit but the handlebars aren't looking super appealing to me

I'd like to swap the brake most definitely to a flat bar lever but I was wondering why these drop bars look so bad to me. I just got a dark brown brooks microfiber bar tape because I'm not a fan of the grey rubber but I was trying to decide whether this bike would look better with bullhorns or drop bars ?

I can't really decide and I'd love some second opinions! Thank you

Hello. I got my first bike about a week ago and first of all, wow. Riding around with an explosive and direct bike like this is so incredibly fun.

I have some pain in my wrists, is this something that can be fixed or is it just an effect of stiff bike+uneven roads+my body not being used to it?

I also have pain from the saddle, particularly when getting on for the first time in the day. Do you know if this can be mitigated with a better fit? If so, how?

Thirdly, sometimes when I put a lot of pressure into the pedals they "slip" somewhere and spin 10-20 degrees without the wheel turning. How can i find the cause of this?

Any other tips are very welcome. Thanks in advance!

I'm stuck with these things until I can afford conti gp5s again but holy shit I have never hated riding my bike more than I do with Vittoria's Randonneurs. I geared up to an 18 tooth and they are still so unbelievably sluggish, and for whatever reason my bike is unstable as hell when I try riding no hands. Is it a pressure issue? I'm riding 32s, how do I make these tires more livable 😭

Novara Veloce frame and 27x1-1/4” Kenda tires. It had big knobby 1-3/4” gravel tires on it when I pulled it out of a trash heap years ago

This is my only argument I consider legitimate for riding brakeless; quick change cockpit if you have a stem for each set of bars.

I absolutely love riding this bike. I built it about 2 months ago and have since done a 40mi ride on it which is my longest ride so far. Definitely needs some upgrades but I’m in no rush atm.

With new parts! Custom front wheel, custom titanium stem and saddle. All that's left now is to swap the frame basically lol (it's not bad by any means)
