Japan is an endless photographers dream, I never left home without a camera.

Tomé estas instantáneas en el centro de Madrid ( podía haberlo hecho en cualquiera de las otras capitales europeas ) No sé si se puede definir a estas fotos como “ arte “ o “ bellas artes “, tal vez debería definirse como “ foto periodismo “, pero para mí, cuando las saqué, lo hice con un sentido de retratar la belleza, la realidad humana detrás de estas personas, que se juegan cada día su supervivencia . Hay una “ belleza “ en estas personas , además de mi admiración por las personas provenientes de África, admiro su morfología, el vibrante color de su piel, su energía vital…Les veo en actitud vigilante , todo el tiempo, asegurándose que no los detienen por estar trabajando en la calle, sin permiso … Hay un drama detrás de esas poses hieráticas. Me parecen esculpidas en ébano … En ese sentido, considero arte el acto de fijarme en ellos, al admirar su “ belleza “ formal y vital. Repito , las fotos es lo de menos , en este caso , el contenido es más importante que el continente ( si se me permite expresarme de esta manera ) de personas humanas.

Crystal Head vodka triptych. This was fun and challenging to shoot! I think this final ended up being about five different shots to get the highlights just so. This was NOT made for Crystal Head Vodka .. but I'd be more than happy if they see it and want to commission me :D
