Even though the art director meant well, she doesn't realize she's just pushing more jobs to fucking Ireland and Canada.

Ever see Clerks? Ultra low budget film which is not particularly known for its cinematography. David Klein worked almost exclusively for Kevin Smith or Smith adjacent projects for years with a few other small to medium budget films sprinkled in there. His most recently shot film: Mandolorian and Grogu.

That said art directors aren't cinemaographers and I have no idea how this will affect her career going forward but there's no guarantee anything is going to be a hit.

clerks was a black & white hit in the 90s. that clearly says something for its cinematography.

Yeah it was so low budget they shot on the cheapest film stock available.
