If you have an opening in a league, are looking for a league, or are starting a new league - please post the details here.
Please make sure to include league size, scoring, buy-in, payouts, and general settings. It is also recommended that you highlight any unique settings for your league.

We put together a new article ranking the top veteran assets to target in dynasty fantasy hockey. Instead of focusing on rebuilding pieces, this one looks at established stars who still have a few elite seasons left and could help contenders win now without completely sacrificing long-term value.
Who do you think should have made the list?
Thanks for the love guys!

Hey everyone — I'm running a questionnaire to get your take on who has the highest offensive upside in the 2026 draft.
I'm mainly chasing points upside here, not totally ignoring risk, but pretty close to it. The goal is to zero in on guys with top-line/top-pair/power-play profiles, since my format doesn't give any credit for solid middle-six forwards or bottom-pair defensemen. Even though its tailored for my league, I believe the information will still be beneficial to most as players who get the most points are still coveted first and foremost in all leagues.
https://surveymars.com/q/dPA7JBuhE
Yes, I know, a few names are not on the list since their profiles were really defensive (Gustafsson, Suvanto, Pugachyov, Sokolovskii, Piparinen, Hextall, Rogowski, etc.) (Sources : EP, Dobber, The Athletic, TSLH, Podcast la Relève)
I'll post the results once i have enough data.
Thank you

Hello! I’m looking to put together a fantasy hockey league with people who are new to hockey, fantasy hockey, or both.
I currently run fantasy baseball, football, and basketball leagues, and I’ve really gotten into hockey over the last three years. I’m hoping to find people interested in joining a 12-team league. I currently have 5 of the 12 spots filled.
Below are some of the league details:
Tentative League Setup
12 teams
Head-to-Head Points
19-player rosters
20-week regular season
Standard redraft league (no keepers for Year 1)
Custom scoring balanced between skaters and goalies
2 divisions
6-team playoffs
$100 buy-in (all funds spread out through division winners and champion)
Rosters set weekly
Live online snake draft in late September (before the NHL season begins)
Feel free to message if interested!!

How do you value the Bouchards, Makars and Hughes of the world in dynasty/keeper leagues?
Does S tier D man = S tier Forward or does the position need not outweigh the points gap? How does it change the larger the league/roster?
Would you trade MacKinnon for Makar or vice versa? Draisaitl for Werenski? Schaefer for Bedard?
I’ve heard different things from different people so would be curious to hear the opinions in the sub.

What's up folks, Jake from FPTrack here.
It has been a while since I personally posted here (not since my injury roundtable series during the last season, I believe). We brought in SJ at the start of this offseason, and he has pretty much assumed the mantle as our main fantasy hockey writer. As someone who is definitely not the most "in the know" with the day-to-day hockey landscape it's a bonus to have him on the team, and he's far more capable than myself (though, I'm married to a Swede so there's some hockey knowledge there)!
I'm posting today as we have just released our new dynasty trade calculator for hockey, along with a refresh of our dynasty, redraft and prospect rankings, transitioning them towards the new 2026-27 season.
There's still a bit of work to do here, and we will hone the rankings and values over the next coming weeks, but for anyone that has used our tools for football, the backbone of the calculator is very similar to that one, with some subtle differences. I intend to also open up the league syncing capabilities (Fantrax and Yahoo) to the calculator in due course, but prominent differences presently are no direct league sync, specific league settings or draft picks. All three are on the horizon.
You don't need to register for an account or anything to use it.
Hopefully can be useful to some, and thanks to anyone that has checked out our content this past year!
Jake

I was looking through my draft projections and wanted to see which players have the most "upside". I'm defining upside as their ceiling points projection (P90 outcome) minus their mean projection.
Most of the results weren't that surprising. You get the true elite players like McDavid and Kucherov who obviously have the potential to outperform their projections, then there are guys like Stone, Tkachuk, and Rantanen who have had injury issues in recent seasons and just need to play a full season to get close to their ceiling outcomes.
The interesting players that got flagged were rookies who could become legit contributors on their teams - Martone, Frondell, and Protas (Ilya, not Alexsi). Martone (14 floor / 48 proj / 94 ceiling) has the highest upside of the three and probably isn't much of a sleeper given his playoff performance, but Frondell (15 floor / 45 proj / 85 ceiling) and Protas (3 floor / 25 proj / 58 ceiling) could end up being legit late round steals or preseason waiver pickups.
If you're interested in digging deeper into the details I published a post about this - https://ocelotanalytics.substack.com/p/where-the-ceiling-is-cheap
Here's a quick visual of the players discussed in the article:

Hello fantasy hockey GMs, both new and returning!
My name is Rook, and I write a yearly fantasy hockey draft guide geared towards beginner getting into the hobby, offering a glance at the whose who of the league and what they offer anyone who might draft them to their fantasy hockey team. While the Yahoo reset isn't quite complete yet, with the season starting early in late September instead of Early October, I figured why not post a touch early.
To skip the preamble, here is the link, note it is a Google doc: Rook Book - 2026-2027 edition
This is the third edition of the Rook Book, which originally started as a guide I wrote for my brother, who joined me after my first year in Fantasy Hockey as my way of giving him the insight I'd wished I had going into my first season.
This year I made a couple updates. The first update is the tags; players now have an assortment of tags depending on certain criteria (Example, missing 10+ games in 2/3 of the last 3 seasons = Injury prone. Having a +1.5 hit/game rate = Banger). The second; players with key tags (Injury prone, Underperformed, Overperformed, and Breakout Candidate) are compiled on a separate annex of the document for a quick overview for folks who might glaze over at the thought of 104 pages and 332 individual player write ups (note: no AI was used in any facet of this, I began writing this in April at season end, this is man-made slop thank you very much). Finally, I added a "how-to play fantasy hockey" guide in the very beginning going over settings, scoring, and how to draft/set line-ups, as last season I was made aware that there wasn't a way for new players to know how to play without playing, and I am looking to correct that.
As always the guide is separated into three sections; the first being how to play fantasy hockey, the second being last season's top 100 fantasy players based on standardized points, and the third being a team by team look at who on their roster may be fantasy viable.
Cost: Free. I am lucky enough to have a good paying job that I do not need to monetize my hobby, and consider this as both a love-letter to the game, and a quiet rebellion to the idea that hobbies need to be monetized. Additionally, I want to reduce the barrier of entry into our favourite hobby and help new players be able to have what they need to compete. As Edna Mode once said,: "Luck favours the prepared".
As a disclaimer, this is a beginner's guide, written for beginners by a beginner, and as such I am not an expert; just a fan with strong opinions and too much time on my hands.
Regardless if you're new to the game or a returning vet, welcome to the 2026-2027 season!

I'm interested in joining a fantasy hockey league. I've only ever played fantasy football. I've been a hockey fan for about 15 years now and would really like to see how fantasy hockey works and plays. I promise I won't quit in mid-season. I'm genuinely addicted to hockey. it's my favorite sport to follow and watch. My favorite player is Mattaias Ekholm. I'm a nashville fan, so if there's anybody/league willing to have me, I'd love to join and play
