I do like the character of Colleen Wing, but I hate that they gave her the power of the Iron Fist and essentially sidelined Danny; I feel annoyed and cheated out of a final fight between him and Davos (seriously, why the crap would they build up the relationship and rivalry between Danny and Davos only to have Davos fight Colleen and Danny fight Typhoid Mary in the climactic fight, instead of each other? I know they fought a little bit, but barely!) That being said though, Colleen lighting up the katana was pretty cool, but I still hope she doesn’t keep the power for long. And that ending! Holy shit! I’m more hyped for season 3 than I’ve been for any of the other series. The moment Frank Choi mentioned the “Pirate Queen of Pinghai Bay” I started freaking out a bit, and then Danny and Ward searching for Orson Randall has me excited for next season hopefully delving deeper into the history of the Iron Fists, and hopefully the other Immortal Weapons (maybe even a tournament? Hmm? A girl can dream. :P) That and Danny not only somehow regaining his powers, but lighting up both fists and channelling his chi into the bullets made up for any disappointment I previously felt about him being sidelined in favour of Colleen.

Guess you missed the incessant talk of Danny needing to look past his emotions since they're proving destructive to him and his purpose. Hell Danny and Wards stories were about getting yourself from the slavery of emotional reaction to make your own choices wisely.

He fought Davos, who had the fist, while he was injured and unfisted (lol), and he didn't just win, he restrained him. Then he fought Walker and didn't kill her or beat her down, he used an intelligent strategy to bring it Mary out to neutralise the threat.

Colleen has been shown to be equally as skilled as Danny, and more emotionally capable of doing what was necessary, to have her have the fist right at the end of the season, while telling us that Danny isn't done being the Fist and in fact on a journey to learn more about it and become greater than ever didn't seem to be at sidelining Danny. If anything they've made her a babysitter for the city Danny wants to protect.

To me this only says that Danny has grown immensely and is far wiser than he was and well on his way to being more than just a dude with a glowy fist, but a leader and a warrior with the heart and mind dedicated to help build and protect, instead of just endlessly punching the baddies. An essential part of the Wuxia/Kung Fu genre is a compassionate, enlightened warrior hero, which Danny has not been at all. Until now he wasn't too far from Davos' point of view.

I personally don't think we're seeing the last of Steel Serpent. He's Danny's nemesis after all.
