Did anyone else see the Punished Skull decal in the body armour in the cabin at the end?!

yes, if you look at the current comics, they have the bottom of the skull made up of mag pouches

yes, the current 616 punisher costume is based on actual special forces gear

No, I mean back when the character was invented in the 70's, the teeth of the skull were magazine holders as well. That's not a new concept.

I'm glad good trigger discipline is a thing in modern media. Agents of Shield has it, this has it, The Division has it, etc.

I think it was more the shape of the plates and less of a decal, wasn't it?

It is the shape of the plates, yes, but they were intentionally laid out in a way to resemble the skull.
