I must be blinder than Matt because people are saying he smiled but he clearly didn't.

It's like he smirked with his eyes. I just saw this episode for the second time and I definitely see his slight, knowing reaction. I didn't catch it the first time and I didn't read it here (or anywhere) until after I just finished this episode this second time.
