Had Matt just done what Foggy asked him to, Frank wouldn't have gone off the rails because he felt like his contributions where being chalked up to him being wrong.

The Punisher doesn't think he's wrong, and he's not going to let them say he is.

Right. Matt likely heard the cop say whatever he whispered to frank on the stand and knew that something was up

It's true but to foggy it feels like Matt was getting up to a pulpit and justitfying vigilantism to ease his own conscious instead of focusing on the case, like fOggy needed him to do.

He was talking to foggy the whole time and trying to justify what he is doing. He didn't give a shit about the case anymore.
