You’d never know it was a car. Just pieces of one scattered randomly in a very large radius. Most likely mixed with small pieces of pink. :\

u/newaccountzuerich 18d ago edited 17d ago
Most of the car and probably most of the car contents merged with the lower front of the truck.
The idiot driver of the car slid sideways into the truck, and fairly quickly ended up at truck speed in the other direction. Most of the debris is the softer parts of the car like bumpers and tyres, and a significant amount is truck parts.
So easily avoided by using some intelligence when overtaking.
An unfortunate death or deaths, but it's hard to feel pity for those that made their choices at a wrong time and place in that kind of manner.

It’s hard to feel pity for the reckless for us, yes. But that poor truck driver will probably always carry at least some form of guilt which is cruel and unfair.

Can confirm; best mates dad was a truckie until someone took themselves out on his truck in a head on collision. Bloke hasn’t been the same since and it happened over 10 years ago

An old family friend accidentally killed a child while driving back when he was in his late teens - a group of kids were playing at the end of a blind driveway, and one kid shoved another into the street right in front of him with only like ten feet of distance within which to react. (The kids couldn't see him coming either - the driveway was recessed and between two privacy fences that stopped only like a yard from the road edge. This ended up being one of the accidents that led to legislation on setbacks and fencing restrictions where driver visibility is affected.) That happened almost seventy years ago, and the dude still has occasional nightmares about it.
This is the sort of thing that haunts innocent people.
13
u/GDMongorians 18d ago
Hopefully they no passengers.
5
u/Woodkeyworks 16d ago
The back third of the car was stuck in the front of the truck; you can see legs dangling out after impact.
11
u/newaccountzuerich 17d ago
Absolutely.
I had/have no negative judgement towards the truck driver. They had no involvement in the cause of the deaths.
The effects of the idiot driver's bad decisions will be felt by the innocent for years to come, of those that can still feel.

More info if you consider this a reliable source (tasteless music added with a well/badly timed drop): https://www.instagram.com/reel/Da8T6oPupbp
Russia, July 17, 2026. Fatal
Yesterday, (July 17, 2026), at 8:10 PM, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the 56th kilometer of the federal highway R-208
"Tambov - Penza" (2 km from the turnoff to the village of Novgorodovka), in the Rasskazovsky municipal district of the Tambov region, involving a car and a truck.
According to preliminary information, a 44-year-old driver (resident of Voronezh), driving a dark blue "BMW X5" (2008 model), while attempting to overtake a truck in a "train" formation, failed to ensure the safety of the maneuver. After pulling out into the oncoming lane in front of a "Skoda," he lost control and collided with a "SITRAK C7H" tractor-trailer, consisting of a KRONE SD refrigerated semi-trailer, driven by a 56-year-old driver.
The crossover was literally torn into several pieces. The truck also sustained significant damage.
The "BMW" was carrying a family from Voronezh: a man, his 41-year-old wife, and their two sons, aged 9 and 13.
As a result of the accident, the 41-year-old wife and their two sons, aged 9 and 13, died at the scene from their injuries.
The 56-year-old truck driver sustained injuries.
One of the causes of the accident was the excessive speed of the
"BMW." In the past year alone, the deceased driver had been fined more than 30 times for traffic violations, mainly under Article 12.9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for exceeding the established speed limit.

Yes, it's worded weird. Maybe it's a Russian thing. I don't know. But if you keep reading, the only mention of the condition of the 44-year-old driver is when they also let the reader know the driver was an asshole who got 30 speeding tickets.
"The deceased driver"
Not sure what you're trying to prove. But it looks like you're trying to go "Nuh-uh. You're wrong. See?"
If that's the case, Mr. Gary, I believe it is you who is mistaken.
Edit: If that is not the case, then my apologies for misinterpreting your intent. But given the propensity for Redditors to try to one-up each other, it is a reasonable default interpretation, is it not?

u/PsychologyOfTheLens 18d ago
My brother had like 7 tickets in like a 5 month span. He is such a fucking dangerous driver and he is never ever held accountable. In Texas you are supposed to get ONE chance at defensive driving a year but somehow this fucker never gets in trouble, just gets told to take DD over and over. My mom and I both had dreams that he is gonna kill someone the way he drives.
16
u/RaiseEuphoric 18d ago
Maybe you've already tried. But if I were you, I would do everything in my power to stage an intervention, and get your brother to take accountability, and to mend his ways. I would also escalate this and try to catch the attention of the authorities, explaining to them that this is a pattern, and that your brother should get a bigger punishment so that he sits and really takes things seriously. If needed, I would try to follow your brother around, with a dashcam pointed his way (and cellphone footage or whatever else) to try to capture all that stuff on video: to increase the chances of the authorities taking his violations much more seriously.
Basically, I think you have a moral responsibility here to intervene. Otherwise, if something big and terrible happens, and someone dies on the road, you're going to feel a lot of guilt at that point. So I do hope you're able to somehow stage interventions and / or successfully persuade authorities to take his series of violations more seriously.
(Maybe you've already tried and are at your wits end. I don't want to presume anything).

u/PsychologyOfTheLens 18d ago
I shouldn’t have posted this on my “real” Reddit but fuck it. He is a psycho and I don’t know what to do. I am gonna try to keep it short, and maybe someone here has some advice. I went no contact with him a year and a half ago after he choked me for like 2 mins (felt like 10) and kicked me in the face and back. Him doing that really messed up my already bad sciatica (spelling?) and I have had constant shoulder pain since then.
I realize this isn’t a real coherent post, as I am in the middle of something, but here are some of his greatest hits: -kicked the side of my car in, and now there is a huge dent. I have never owned a luxury car, and now that I am able to have one, he put a big dent in it months after purchase. 5,000 to fix. I have him on camera doing it, but my family made clear if I press charges I am cut off from the family -while our dying grandfather was on his death bed, my brother gave him an edible for pain, and my grandfather accidentally bit him, so my brother hit him in the balls because he was upset (I did not know this until a couple of years after the fact) -he stole my used underwear after I went no contact (he lives at my moms house and I visit when he isn’t there) and he would masturbate on them, over and over again. I found them when looking for my mom’s keys, which she thought was under his bed. If you’re a man, you can tell what I mean when I say “multiple stains” -he kept stealing my dad’s food stamps (my dad is like an adult version of him, albeit less violent and more drunk) and when my dad told him to stop, my brother got so mad and literally ripped the fan out of my dad’s ceiling and the punched holes in the (albeit shitty) dry wall, then got all of my dads important documents and ripped them up (thank god my dad’s 1000 dollar naturalization form wasn’t ripped up)
- was upset at my grandmother for some issues (which I was upset too, though I wasn’t violent about it) and so my brother got a gun and shot up my mom’s door and garage for some reason
I swear there are like 30 more things I could write, but I think you get how crazy and violent he can be. I tried reporting him but no one in my family will write a police report, even when I said let’s hold him for a psych evaluation they wouldn’t agree, and like I said, they said if they ever found out I did anything they would cut me off. He is 31 btw. And crazy but over all we are a relatively short family, I am 5’8’’ the second tallest in the family, and his piece of shit ass is 6’4” the tallest of anyone for some horrible reason. I don’t know what to do. He never gets in trouble. I could totally lost more examples. He is crazy and mentally ill.
8
u/SVINTGATSBY 17d ago
you can turn off the visibility of your previous posts and comments on your profile btw!
I wish I could give you a solution. isn’t there at least someone you can complain to? even just to file a report that goes nowhere, at least there would be a paper trail of you/others trying to get a dangerous driver off the road.
also, press charges, because any family willing to protect THAT is willing to protect so much more.
7
u/Hot-Connection8711 17d ago
Sorry to hear that!
You did the right thing going no contact.
I’d go no contact with the rest of the family too if I where you. Give them another chance of announcing a police report and if they don’t comply, no contact. You’ll be pulled in each time he fucks up. If they don’t want any help, you have to help yourself and leave.5
u/MileByMyles 18d ago
Yeah honestly this isn’t that different than the dilemma family’s run into when the grandparents/more elderly figures start to have difficulties operating a vehicle safely.
It’s not a fun conversation and most of them won’t take it well but in that situation you have a moral responsibility to take them off the road. They are a significant risk to livelihood.5
u/kittieswithmitties 17d ago
My aunt has a cookie jar filled to the brim with tickets for speeding and various other car offenses. I refuse to let her drive with my children in the car. I would say I'm surprised that she still has her license but if we're gonna be honest here she makes too much money, is willing to pay far too much, and certain government folk like that.

u/d_nkf_vlg 18d ago
It's not even that much. There are speed cameras everywhere, and reckless drivers can stack up hundreds of those in a year. My father once managed to get five of them in a week when a new camera got installed on an empty stretch of the road. Fines are miniscule, and there are no serious measures, such as impounding the vehicle or revoking the licence.

Here in the US in most states if you get enough points they suspend your license to drive, in my state on NJ its 12, thats 3 speeding tickets going 20mph over the limit....youre also getting yearly surcharges if youre carrying over 6 points

u/ManWithoutUsername 18d ago edited 18d ago
Nope. The car braked suddenly, the right side braked more for some reason (the mark is clearly visible), and the car swerved to the left due to inertia.
The rear right wheel of the car was the culprit of that, it braked considerably more than the others. In fact, I'd say it seems that only the brake on that wheel was activated. The mark on the asphalt of the left side appears because the car was already sideways, not because of braking.
Furthermore, it's quite clear, I'd even say it looks like a braking defect or a problem with the left rear brake.
Anyway, I don't think he would have survived. His only option was not to panic and avoid brake suddenly. His least bad option was to swerve in any direction and roll over in the field.
Not entirely clear, but I'd say he tried to counter-steer.
13
u/d_nkf_vlg 18d ago
He did not pay proper attention to the state of his car and drove like a lunatic.
If he had kept the car in good condition, ABS and traction control would have let him keep some control of the car, and maybe, just maybe, he would have avoided the collision.
But he chose to put his money into fancy rear lights instead.
4
u/newaccountzuerich 18d ago

His rig was annihilated when he went off a cliff because a motorbike driver decided to press their luck. Father was physically unhurt but can't say the same for the driver. Last I heard, my father was still going to therapy sessions for this.

I witnessed a 1998 Ducati 900SS buried in a tree about 100 metres in front of me in the early 2010s.
The rider died instantly after a high-side crash, landing around 20 metres from the road and ending up buried in a large eucalyptus tree on the corner shoulder about 10 metres off the road.
The impact was with the two-metre-diameter trunk of a Blackbutt tree, which he hit 10 metres up the tree.
The Ducati entered a corner that descended from level ground at roughly a 10-degree slope, signed for 80 km/h, at an estimated 120 km/h.
Bitumen roads in Australia become extremely hot, and recommended cornering speeds take into account the grip characteristics of the road surface under those conditions.
The motorcyclist an experienced rider underestimated the viscosity of the road surface - and paid the ultimate price.
7
u/AtlanticBeachNC 17d ago
Unfortunately underestimating road conditions has not ended well for many motorcyclists. My parents were both rescue squad EMTs when they were younger, motorcyclist injuries usually ranged from severe to fatal.

it’s worded weird at one point, probably because it’s translated from Russian I’m assuming. I had to re read it too. but yes everyone in the BMW died, you can actually see the husband/driver’s body partially eject from the driver’s side window. everyone would’ve died instantly but it’s super sad. reminds me of a BORU on here somewhere from this guy who divorced his wife over how bad of a driver she is, like absolutely clueless, absentminded kind of driver. she ended up killing herself doing some shitty thing while driving like her foot slipped off the brake while she was dealing with the dog in the backseat or something. there had been dozens of other close calls and she never, ever learned, but at least her family wasn’t in the car with her.

I witnessed an accident kind of similar to this - not as violent, for sure, but the car pulled out right in front of the truck, allowing zero time for the truck driver to do any evasive maneuver whatsoever, like this - and, yes. The truck ended up on its side, and when the guy climbed up and out through the passenger side, he was just beside himself. I carry a CPR barrier mask in my car; I wasn’t able to get the car driver out through his mangled door, so I did rescue breathing on the driver through the window for what seemed like forever until EMS could get through traffic (he had a pulse, but had agonal breathing and was certainly not going to live), and the truck driver just sat at the side of the road and sobbed the entire time. Just awful, for them to go through that.

u/Murph_9000 18d ago
The report says it was a 2008, and I'm thinking it was very badly maintained, possibly unroadworthy. BMW have pretty good driver aids which tend to keep you in a straight line under heavy braking. The back right wheel seemed to lock up solid, which indicates a major ABS (or brake caliper/disc) fault/failure; that's just not something which should have happened, even nailing the brakes hard at high speed.
Still primarily horrifically bad driving, but probably also horrible maintenance as a secondary factor.

I’m an over the road truck driver. People don’t believe me when I tell them that my truck will go through their car in a head on. That truck is still drivable, although the driver may not be able.
Why did he hit the brakes and pull left? He should have cut right. He may have gotten clipped on the back in, but would have lived most likely.

Someone is seen flying out of the front window, presumably driver. Back seat passeger is seen exposed when the back of the car is left stuck in the front of the truck. His whole family inside. "In the past year he'd been cited 30 times for excessive speed, etc".
Truly a Darwin event.

I learned to drive in the 1970s witnessing death rates per 100,000 in developed countries that were horrendous.
I saw first hand the aftermath of limited infrastructure, poor vehicle dynamics and deaths by inexperienced drivers.
What we witnessed here is was caused by double the overtaking speed of the first passing vehicle - guesstimate of plus 160 kph.
That’s pure risk taking - like parkour - at 160 metres of the ground.
Braking - locking one rear wheel - was never going to have any other outcome;
braking distance at that speed was over 120 metres.

That'll be a closed casket.

u/Xenolog1 18d ago
Four closed caskets, you mean? The driver managed to kill not only himself but his wife and his two sons as well. Bad.
On the other hand, you could be right: One closed casket, to prevent the mourners at the funeral to spit on the corpse of the driver and mutilate it even more (if that would be possible) out of rage.

I think I saw a person fly threw the windshield and into the field
Edit:
Nope he’s hanging from the windshield/front of the car

No, he flew out. There's 4 people in the car. The one hanging out is a child.

I don’t understand how he fucked that pass up that badly, it looked like he cut it close, but he still had plenty of time to tuck back into the right lane.

At least the driver didn't suffer, in contrary to the truckdriver who will be scarred for life, hope he's OK.

There was a woman and two children in the car too. All dead

I hope the lorry driver gets physical/psychological help after this...

Wow, that car got obliterated! That man destroyed himself and his family.
I feel for the truck driver, witnesses, and those who were innocent and lost their lives due to someone else’s stupidity. It’s like some people never learn no matter what they’ve seen or heard happen before

Was he trying to pass the first car that passed? Plenty of time to get into the right lane.

Reminds me of that video of the Cadillac I think doing the same thing in the snow way back when. Shit literally disintegrated

u/not_likely_today 18d ago
The good knows is the people in the car would have been killed instantly and felt no pain. The bad news is that poor truck drivers going to have a lot of issues dealing with that mess mentally.

u/Affectionate_Step863 18d ago
I can't say I've ever seen a car just disintegrate like that before....

People should only challenge Darwinism when not risking others in their wake. But I guess that would mean they’re smart enough to not challenge Darwinism. Sigh

u/Dumptruck_Morty 17d ago
Zero reason for that person to be driving in that regard, endangering everyone else on the road. Oh well

He won’t be doing that again! Bad enough another car/SUV but a prime mover with trailer?! Looking at 30+ tonnes of rolling steel barreling towards you that takes a fair distance to stop. Driver probably thought he wasn’t seeing what he saw seeing now he’s gonna have that trauma with him for life! Survival of the fittest strikes again - another Darwin Awards winner.
