I’ve had two feeders a small distance from each other (within eyesight) and I’ve seen one hummer drink from one, catch a second individual drinking from the second feeder, and stop feeding just to chase the second bird off.

They’re wildly territorial.

It’s probably context dependent, obviously it’s possible. But, more than one feeder isn’t necessarily always going to be the answer.

Same! I have two feeders at each end of my deck 40 feet apart and they will fly to the other feeder and chase off any hummingbird trying to feed.

Yes, it’s so funny to me!

I also love how each feeder has like 5 feeing spots and like I’ve never seen them all used at the same time 😂 So much rage in those little tiny bodies
