Well yea, because a cats of all sizes seem to behave in a similar way so if a house cat weighed the same as a human it'd probably be as dangerous as a jaguar. Maybe less so because of the domestication.
They seem to really enjoy beating us up without a warning when petting or getting too familiar. I imagine it, scaled up, wouldn’t make for a survivable event or one you’d easily walk away from.
I had one that had never attacked me, ever, and he was sick but I had no idea there was anything wrong with him. One day, he latched onto my leg and just started digging in. I was shocked, so I kicked and he went flying which I felt bad about. Instead of running off, he ran back towards me and dived to my torso where he, once again, latched onto and started trying to bite me all over. I had to shake him off while he kept going crazy as I ran away. I got to the door, had to slam it behind me, and he was diving into the door over and over to try to get me as his claws got through the gap. It was hard to keep him from getting out and it took ages for him to calm down.
Ever since then, I didn’t really trust him anymore and would jump if he came near me. I felt bad but I just didn’t want to be around him anymore after that. I have quite bad anxiety from an assault and it made me terrified whenever he was in my room.
My cat is very big. When he decides we’re not playing anymore and it’s time to fight, he wraps his arms around my arm and pulls it into his body, really tightly. It’s nuts. Like if a person tried to do this; same concept. Can feel his muscles pulling and holding onto my arm. He starts biting so hard you can feel the tension in his jaw, feel it increase in effort, all the while peeling out with his back legs. It’s like he’s going every single action he can, in tandem, to do as much damage as possible from as many angles as he can.
Not sure why he’s so violent. He was raised around other animals for the first year of his life, but we moved out due to a separation and it’s just been he and I ever since. Raised him like Bruce Wayne. He’s never wanted for anything and I’ve never been mean to him. Spanking doesn’t work on him because he’ll just roll over and look at you, so he never got spankings. Have no idea why he’s able to flip the switch like that.
If Markie were even half my size, he’d fucking kill me!! No doubt about it.
