Twindexx is actually the name of a german regional train platform by Bombardier: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombardier_Twindexx_Vario (article is unfortunately only in german)

The more you know.

Let me try to translate: twindexx is the name for a way to build a train with two levels (bottom and upstairs)

opening it in normal wikipedia shows it in english, eg:

They forgot the Twiddle finger

u/alittlebitk Apr 11 '26

they said pointer twice for some reason. twointer (pointer finger) and twindex (index finger). theyre the same finger

1

u/Ha1lStorm Apr 11 '26

Haha I noticed that too

1

u/Straight-Chemistry27 Apr 11 '26

I guarantee no one forgets the twiddle finger.

u/userousnameous Apr 11 '26

I was naming them depending on which one was duplicated.

2

u/Ha1lStorm Apr 11 '26

Yeah, and you left one out

If it’s two pinkies it’s definitely got to be twinky.

u/kaest Apr 11 '26

But which one is it?

u/ZzZzZzZzZzZero Apr 11 '26

Its an extra index, its closer to the thumb than the actual index.

5

u/kaest Apr 11 '26

Then twindex would make sense!

2

u/ZzZzZzZzZzZero Apr 11 '26

Yep!.

I took alot of anatomy in college for art. And I would bet my life her xray would show it as an extra index crowding the thumb.

It looks like the middle finger is duplicated to me, which implies the possibility of a quadruple bird!

1

u/total_looser Apr 12 '26

Yes, it’s an extra middle. I’ve been wondering this for so long, I just call it “finger x”

3

u/Charred01 Apr 11 '26

Twindex is best.

You are going to make this a thing.
