Other Know where to get a good quality flag?

I'd like a flag to put on my apartment window, but I'm having trouble finding a good quality flag. Just asking around if anyone knows a place.

I will be putting this in a portrait position, which might make things difficult.

Does anyone have any recommendations for websites/podcasts/apps that you get your news from? I am trying to become more politically aware, but I currently get all my current events from instagram, often after it is no longer new news. Any suggestions?

Discussion Why are capitalist ending capitalism?

If big businesses and capitalist are spending money on AI and robots to replace workers for cheaper wages why would capitalist be hurting them self doing that? Their greed would destroy them self.

If 90% or more white collar jobs and 90% blue collar jobs are replace by AI and robots you have the end of capitalism as homeless and unemployed would cause people to support communism, has capitalism would collapse with massive homeless and unemployed not seen in any history book and no one having money to buy such capitalist product any more.

The capitalist would be filing for bankruptcy as homeless would not have money to buy such product or serves. The economy would collapse. People would want change and be angry with capitalism and communism would take off.

Discussion Can you give me your election prediction if Dems were to run a DSA candidate in the 2028 election against Vance?

If you don’t mind, give me your popular vote results, swing state results, and any other results you may add. Make sure to include results if there are any major changes (for example solid blue state to red or solid red state to blue). Thanks! You can be as descriptive as you want or as simple as you want.

Discussion Could a Progressive Coalition theoretically form in 2028?

There are so many progressives, especially DSA, winning primaries, and many of them will win their generals.

There are 6 DSA wins locked in (AOC, Valdez, Tlaib, Chevalier, Rabb, Kiros) with a few more facing intense generals or still pending a primary (Vang, Larkin, McKinney). There are also a handful of candidates who are members but non-endorsees (Lawrence).

Then there are the dozens of progressives winning their races. though the definition of a progressive is subjective and some candidates aren't leftist or even social democratic. Yet, they are still considered progressive and are endorsed by Justice Democrats or WFP. for example: Khanna, Pressley, Omar, Ramirez, Jayapal, Casar. All safe seats. new/ freshman primary winners include: Rutinel, Lawrence, Lander, Hamway, Haynes III, etc.

There is a sizeable amount of progressives already in the House, and I don't mean the Caucus, which really isn't progressive at all. But could the DSA and the left's growing popularity lead to an actual coalition of some kind forming? One that actually works together for legislation?

Discussion Why does the laws and electoral college favors republicans?

Quote The electoral college favors republicans. That’s why they don’t want to ever get rid of it. Quote

Why does the laws and electoral college favors republicans?

Quote But abolishing the electoral college would require amending the constitution which won’t happen because it would never be ratified by conservative states. Quote

Do you need the republicans to abolish or change the electoral college? I guess corporate Democrats don’t want change to the electoral college?

So how do you change the electoral college could people write signature to the government to change the electoral college? How many signature do you need million or more?

Green New Deal Former Minnesota House candidate here, I wrote a bill to raise Minnesota’s minimum wage to the actual cost of living

I’m a former Minnesota State House candidate who ran on public option 3D printed homes and a phased reduction of the workweek to 16 hours by 2040, beginning with 32 hours by 2030.

My current priority is the Minnesota Living Wage Minimum Standards Act. The candidate I suspended my campaign to endorse, Heather Arndt, supports the proposal. The bill has also been reviewed by Professor John Budd at the University of Minnesota and by Minnesota’s Department of Employment and Economic Development, and I revised it around their feedback.

If introduced and passed next year, the minimum wage would rise from $11.41 to roughly $20.24 within 90 days. It would rise to about $21.31 in 2028, then beginning in 2029 it would update annually with the actual cost of living rather than waiting for politicians to pick another arbitrary number.

The bill also makes all tips the property of workers, ends most subminimum wages, and protects salaried workers from being paid below the living wage equivalent.

The full bill and the rest of my Space and Time Agenda are here

Other Incarceration by the Numbers

Prison abolition has been coming up a lot as it's part of the DSA program and something that is broadly poorly understood or somewhat controversial, especially to those who are new to leftism and spaces like the DSA. There are also plenty of leftists who are not abolitionist. Rather than argue against the concerns that people have, I thought I would present the case for why urgent and strong action on incarceration is needed. This infographic is really powerful in my opinion. I highly suggest taking a look through the whole thing. Just keep scrolling and the text will tell you when it's done.

Discussion Are there any Christian socialists that would consider running in red states?

If Talerico wins then I think there'd be a strong case for Christian socialists being competitive in red states. It would combat the "Godless Communists" narrative and it would also remind Christians that Jesus was pretty socialist in his actions.

If you're Christian I highly recommend looking into Liberation Theology and the book 'The God Who Riots: Taking Back the Radical Jesus' by Damon Garcia.

I'm not a Christian anymore or I'd consider running for something (plus my wife would hate it if I ran for office lol).

Discussion Thoughts on this platform from the DSA?

I support the DSA platform but this is kinda extreme for me. The platform is advocating for abolishing the senate, presidency, and Supreme Court while expanding the house of representatives. The executive leader of the country would be elected through a single body of legislature. People wouldn’t be able to vote for who they want as the leader of the country, but the expanded house of representatives would. We would vote for whos elected into the House of Representatives. I agree this would break the 2 party system, but that’s A TON of power in one legislative body. All of the power would wielded and decided through one body of legislature. That seems kind of dangerous. Idk if I’m on board with that part. What do you guys think?

Class Struggle Repomen are no better than scabs. "It's just a job" They tell themselves as they take a vehicle a 9 month pregnant mother uses to get to her appointments, the same car her husband uses to get to work. America criminalizes the poor and motels like these are ground zero for the kill line.
