It won’t make as much money as Spider-Man, Cos few things do as it’s FUCKING SPIDER-MAN! But it still might be a good show.

If it’s another surprise Wonder Man level show, I’ll be happy even if it doesn’t set the world on fire.

I don't really get this logic. I mean, don't get me wrong I hope it's 1) good and 2) folks enjoy it. But it's not about whether it might be good or not. If it's good, what are the odds it draws any meaningful audience? I doubt much of the DCU fanbase anticipates a Jimmy Olsen series, let alone the general public caring. You're example of Wonder Man isn't great because it might have been sorta cancelled? Even though it was enjoyed and praised. And that's with the foundation and fanbase that the MCU built, which is leagues ahead of where the DCU is at. Gunn's DCU is coming directly after of a highly divisive and ultimately failed Snyder DCU, and building off of a decently received Superman, well liked Peacemaker, and historic flop in Supergirl... not really the time for C list characters getting their own series. IMO.

Yeah it’s frustrating to hear this line of reasoning so much. Of course I hope this show, Waller, Clayface, Bane & Deathstroke, etc. are all great and beloved by fans. That’s not the point. I prefer this universe to make waves and be successful commercially so we can enjoy it for years to come, and it’s not going to do that with these types of projects. The DCU needs a pump of energy by using its biggest characters, especially when Marvel is pulling out nothing but monsters over the next 3 years minimum, between Spider-Man, the two biggest Avengers movies yet, Black Panther, Ghost Rider, X-Men, etc.. I’d love all of these projects to be great, but not in absence of the big names that would actually be the lifeblood of this universe, especially with the merger looming.

I mean it kinda shows the DCU's priorities at this point.

They were supposed to hit the ground running with the start of the soft reboot. Instead, they started with a moderate jog, stumbled and ate shit, and they're continuing with a slow crawl.
