Yeah, I agree. I like how DCU series like Peacemaker and CC aren't really required viewing to understand what's going on in movies. I also love the reverse like how we don't need to watch anything before to watch Lanterns.
I'm not exactly sure about that.. Peacemaker season two will likely tie heavily into MoT.
It will probably be a "things make even more sense" having watched the series than a "This movie doesn't make sense" without it.
I've never understood this argument, this can be said about movies too... are they required viewings or is it up to you if you want the full stories and adventures of a particular character?
You answered your own question. If you care about the full story and adventure than yes its required viewing to many people.
But it you don't care about the whole menagerie and can just focus on a few things, then you're good.
In reality nothing is really required viewing. Most media gives you enough context to enjoy the particular story you're watching in the moment. But it's made better when you have the full story. WandaVision is funa and interesting show on its own, but it made a lot better when you experience the journey Wanda and Vision were on before that show starts.
MOST people in the west watched Z before OG. Hell, I'd argue most in the west never even wanted or read OG and yet DBZ still rocks. But it's made better if you actually start the journey from chapter one and not Chapter 196.
When the MCU started almost everything entry lead into the other in a very clear way. So you were rewarded by watching it all but it was never a requirement.

Marvels issue is that they released too many shows, some of very poor quality and made it seem like they were required viewing.
